BRTC Rice Stem Cell Mask Review

BRTC, a cult favorite BB Cream creator, is known in Korea for some of its great Blemish Balm creams as well as their great skincare.

Having tried many of their BB Creams and skincare products I felt very confident that I’d love their sheet masks but so far I’m terribly shocked I haven’t had any great success with them.

I checked out one of the Multi-Vital earlier this month and disliked it and recently I’ve been using their Rice Stem Cell Mask and have experienced similiar disappointment.

What the heck?

BRTC Rice Stem Cell Mask promises to instantly whiten and brighten skin. It’s a stem cell mask (mmm yeah ok) that promises to infuse active ingredients into your skin from precious plant stem cells.

Anyone can take advantage as the mask is suitable for all skin types but it is most beneficial to those with duller skin and/or dark spots/sun damage.

The mask has a quilted design (a bit different from many standard Asian masks) which supposedly aids essence to absorb quickly and effectively into the skin. If you’ve never used an Asian style sheet mask they are fairly simple to use. They come individually packaged and are made of a cotton fiber material that is soaked in essence/lotion. You simply place the mask on your skin for 20-30 mins or longer if you like and remove. Different mask formulas treat various issues, many of which focus on brightening and whitening skin.

My main issue with BRTC masks is the fact they leave skin so terribly sticky. After use you can literally place the palms of your hands on your face and your skin will stick to your hands. Very tacky feeling after use.

Rice Stem Cells supposedly whitens and re-energizes skin plus Hyaluronic Acid helps moisturize and keep skin hydrated. Vitamin C in the mix also aids in whitening skin.

The mask actually had very little effect on my skin. The box comes with five masks and I’ve used four already without much success. It does provide a solid moisturizing feel and eases dry, patchy areas however not sure if you’re willing to go the sticky distance here where there are far more equate masks which hydrate sans the tacky after feel.

I was quite disappointed I didn’t see much in the way of whitening as well.

Count me surprised, BRTC is quite a solid brand that produces many high performance products but their sheet masks leave a lot to be desired.

Didn’t love this one.

You can purchase these at Sasa.com should you wish to give them a whirl.

I get that whole benefical mask thing, but it just laying there kinda weirds me out! too many spooky movies. I expect it to float up, grow a body with a knife in hand and chase me up the stairs before doing me in.

Maybe you see results over time instead of instantly? I know some products take a while to work.
