Dior Hydra Life BB Creme SPF 30 PA +++

Dior recently brought their White Reveal BB Cream over to the US. It’s available now at Nordstrom and other fine retailers for $50. This was originally introduced in Asia so it’s great to see it finally here in our market.

Another exciting release is the new Dior Hydra Life BB Creme SPF 30 PA +++ (although White Reveal has the longer/better protection with an SPF 50). HydraLife BB Creme provides complexion-enhancing and even-toning properties of a foundation.

This single step BB Cream acts as a primer, foundation, SPF, and base all in one.

This one is a little more costly at $56 (White Reveal is $50) but knowing Dior it’ll be worth it.

Available now at Sephora and Dior counters.

*Guzzles down robitussin* I guess we should be happy Dior is bringing actual Asian bb creams instead of making some crap TM and trying to pass it off as one like everyone else is doing.

The Dior Hydra Life one is kind of sucky. The color is really orange and it still down’t feel like a proper BB Cream.

But Dr. Brandt is coming out with one that looks pretty good. It has pearl powder for brightening and other anti aging stuff. Plus the color really does adapt to fit almost everybody. When we tried it in training the color was good on all but 2 people. The fairest one and the darkest one it didn’t work on. We have a pretty diverse group and I was shocked that only 2 were left out.

Yep, I have to say this is one of the WORST BB creams I’ve tried. I am very fair and after putting this on, I looked like I rolled around in a barrel of tangerines, or like I belonged on Jersey Shore. No bueno, terrible terrible on me. It seems the only people I knew who it worked on already had pretty dark skin.

I tried a sample of the hydra life dior bb creme from sephora, and it’s the closest any of the US-released bb creams come to actual asian bb cream, imo! It’s on the darker side (think: missha perfect cover in 27) but it matches my medium skin almost perfectly. I usually use the darker shade of japanese bb creams (nanoce is my favorite) and this one matches beautifully.

Oil control on me is not amazing, but not bad. Coverage is great! It’s very pigmented and feels just like my japanese bb creams. While it might not work for your skintone, it’s decent on medium skin.

I’ve tried a dozen or so BB cremes, and I think this one is stunning. it goes on so smoothly and evens out your skintone and looks great under liquid or powder foundation. I don’t mind the price when it works so well. I think Dior got it just right!
