Kryolane Aqua PearlShades Review & Swatches

Dior is coming out with some limited edition cream eyeshadows this Summer. Having never loved cream shadows at the start of my makeup life and now suddenly completely a convert to them, I find the Dior release terribly exciting to say the least.

Now I spend most of my makeup existence gathering up cream eyeshadows. Some are super great, some not so much…Kryolane Aqua Pearlshades is a bit of an over hyped product on indie makeup blogs and with youTube gurus. I fail to find the joy sadly.

Have you tried them?

This cream bases can be used on eyes, face, and body. One key point, they are virtually smudge-proof, as in you can’t sweat them off, your oily lids won’t smear them, and you can swim in the ocean, have a couple rounds with the Kraken and come out of it all looking like you just applied your eye makeup.

The pigmentation is rather brilliant too. But gosh, they feel like freaking glue going on. I find them bitchy to apply, difficult to blend, and they shout, “Hey, you’re wearing makeup on your eyes!” as the formula isn’t exactly a lightweight.

(Swatched Above: Birch)

I love the idea but the actual formula is a challenge.

They do get raves all around so you might want to give them a whirl, perhaps you’ll have better luck than I did.

Tried ’em?

Love ’em?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Did you have to buy this online or were you able to find this in stores by any chance? I was looking into their hair coloring items the other day and I couldn’t figure out if it was only available online or not. :/ Oh well; thought I’d check to see to see if it was the same for all their products or just hair stuff. ha Thanks!!
