Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour Review & Swatches

Now that I’ve gone Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour, I might never go back!

Loves this!

Inspired by Laura Mercier’s cult classic Caviar Eye Liner, Caviar Stick Eye Colour offers a full color experience for lids.

I’ve never been a big shade stick/cream shadow girl even though everyone told me how much I was missing out by not using MAC Shade Sticks prior to pigments and loose shadows. Turns out, all those raves, aren’t to be taken lightly. Cream shadow sticks are such a joy to use on their own or under loose pigments and shadows (they prevent fall out in a major way).

(Swatched above: Khaki)

With any number of brands having similar stick style cream shadows in place you have a plethora to choose from.

What’s so great about Laura Mercier’s Cavair Stick Eye Colour? Oh god everything…

This is so incredibly creamy with the most beautiful slide across lids. I know MAC Shade Sticks tend to have a bit of tugging involved as does Urban Decay’s version but Laura somehow captured the most beautiful formula in her version. This is oh so creamy and applies sans tugging in an easy, smooth glide. The stick is saturated with color as well so you get a rich, pigmented pay off that creates a gorgeous smoky eye with a simple blend of your finger tips. It works as a great base as well for looser powders and pigments and if you have issues with fall out with products like this, I’d highly suggest a proper cream base prior as it will minimize fall out in a major way.

Wear time is most excellent as well without any creasing issues even without primer underneath.

I am in love.

Possibly my most favorite Eye Color Stick to date. I just wish Laura had a few more shades of brown, bronze, and gold in the mix.

You’re tempting me Muse!! No tugging, no need for brushes, and great color payoff…I might have to give this a try. Thank you for the review : )

bottom lash line should be fine tracy but only if you want a thicker line on the upper lash line as it is a bit chunky to use as a liner 🙂

I had my makeup done and she used the blue as a liner applied with a brush.

How does it compare to the Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick? I’m in love with that one.

almost the same great formula moena! very comparable. Just as nice a glide, creaminess, but tarte had less of a color line up in the set, here you get a little more variety.

Looks exactly like one of Kiko’s shadow stick. ^^ Unfortunately they are no longer available. *sadness*

I have Amethyst, Cocoa and Sapphire and they are all amazing!

I just read about a gold one exclusive to Nordstom in LM’s Smoky Effects kit. It looks gorgeous! Check out Makeup Magpie to see a swatch (I’m not affiliated in any way – just a reader).

Oh, I must have! About the color you show, it doesn’t have shimmer in it, does it? It is green-ish? How would you describe the color in person? Thanks!
