MAC By Request

Bobbi, as you know, is taking requests from reader’s on Facebook to bring back old favs so it isn’t surprising that MAC is now doing the same thing.

MAC is inviting fans to vote for their favorite shades starting March 12 on Facebook. 18 popular lipsticks, lipglasses and eye shadows have been selected from past collections and the three shades with the most votes from each category will come back as an online exclusive with a limited edition collection run.

Voting starts March 12 and ends on the 30th with the collection launching online in North America in August and worldwide in Fall 2012.

Start your own campaign for a favorite shade or color by tweeting about it using #MACBYREQUEST

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. How about something more appropriate for Indian skintones…..such as stuff from the Mickey Contractor collection? Things like Flesh lipglass and Yash lipstick, Sur blush, etc. I’m NC43 😉

  • Liz!

I wish you could vote for blushes or skinfinishes!!! I’m still kicking myself for not picking up one of the blushes I wanted from the WonderWoman collection :-/

  • Lulee

while the idea was AWESOME the execution was kind of lame in my opinion. Where is ripe peach blush ombre? Where is Stereo rose MSF? Where is marine life?

    • Chelle

Stereo Rose was recently re-promoted – you should’ve picked it up then.

  • Victoria

Hopefully I will finally get to try the infamouse 3n lipstick. I still have more I wish they would bring back. In vogue lipstick from stylistics and some items from antiquitease collection.

  • Caroline

Aw, I love hypnotizing eyeshadow but I can’t justify the price of a palette for one shade. Mine’s already showing pan.

  • Daniela

Grrrr I want stereo rose and that eyeshadow smoke and diamonds(or something like that) It sells for up to 50 bucks on ebay. Maybe i should write to mac

I’m still wishing they would bring back Strada blush permanently. I’m obsessed and write them emails all the time LOL! But there was also a gorgeous lipgloss called Tulle that was only available in a lip palette many moons ago. *sigh* It was the prettiest sheer, pinky nude with a bit of sparkle. I got so many compliments every time I wore it. I scraped the last bits from the palette and wanted to cry. And I’ve yet to find a dupe. Damn the makeup gods for stealing back our favs. It’s just mean I tell ya 😉

I don’t see why they can’t bring back Stereo Rose or some of those gradient blushes they had with the Spring collection either last year or in ’10. I would buy a metric ton of each of them.

Also, as fanatical as people are about the eyeshadow “Parrot” I’m surprised it’s not an option.
