About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

  • Leslie

I WANT THEM ALL!!! I have a mad cray cray blush addition and i love all of them! LOL -Leslie

  • Cj

Wow. I love the promo pic! I’m thinking pink tea, loveclowd, and immortal flower are gonna be for me 🙂 Which ones you lemming?

  • Misato-san

I saw swatches on Spektra… I can’t understand why they don’t add them to the permanent range ç_ç

    • Joan

I agree. Everything they come out with now is Limited Edition. If you don’t act fast, the products sell out.

  • Chris

Blush is my thing, so: yay! I’m curious about the lavender blush, though I’m a little worried about the frosted finish…

  • Lisa

Ohhh, I want all of them except the lavender, but that’s $100 right there!

    • Joan

That’s me too. I think I want five out of six. The lavender is the only one I definitely wouldn’t get. Glad that’s the one that’s a frost. I like their satin finish blushes.

  • Noelle

Hmmm. MAC has been releasing so many “collections” “LE” shades, I’m getting over..well underwhelmed by them.

I wish they would add more to their permanent line.

  • Phyrra

I’m going to have to check out Modern Mandarin and Immortal Flower.

    OMG blush is my POISON!!!

i can foresee myself dying in this collection!

  • Joan

Blush is definitely my poison! So happy to see this! I’ve been patiently waiting for Mac to come out with new blush shades. Out of six shades, I’m thinking I might be buying four or five. I’m glad to see they’re satin finish. I love their satin finish blushes. Again, thanks for the info, Muse. Now, I can’t wait till April.

I know it is Joan ;-D! My pleasure hun! did you also see the new Buxom Eyeshadow Palettes?

      • Joan

No, I didn’t see the Buxom eyeshadow palettes. Where can I see them and maybe order?

        • the Muse

I’m trying to get some images from BE right now. They aren’t out until May :-/

          • Joan

There is one Buxom Stay There eyeshadow palette that comes in a zippered black case on Sephora now. I think they’re creme formulas. Are the palettes you mentioned powders or cremes and will there be color choices?

  • nicolle

I used to never wear blush and then I started getting into it. I did not realize how addicting it can be. I don’t have a huge collection but more than 5…which is more that I had before. For me that is too much….I neglect some. But I am wanting to pick up a couple of these! Another obsession are highlighters…..:)

I agree with the statements about LEs. I hate MAC because everything is LE and I hate stalking websites to get what I want. I’d rather just go to Sephora/Ulta and get new items at my convenience. I don’t know of any other makeup brand that sells out of items before they even are technically released. Sorry for the rant but I like this collection but will probably not have the chance to buy (like almost everything else that I like by MAC).

    • Joan

It is so frustrating. What I usually do is go to the Mac counter at my nearby Macy’s and being that they know me, they will put items aside for me as soon as they come in and then I pick them up the day they go on sale. Of course, when I see the shades, if I don’t like them, I’m not committed to purchase them. I also look on the Mac website the day before the items come out in the stores and will purchase them then. If you spend $50, shipping is free, but returns aren’t. Nordstrom’s is also good for getting the new items in early and they have free shipping and returns with no minimum purchase. There was one Mac collection when some of the items were sold out on the website the day before they started selling them in stores. I think that Mac just comes out with too many collections to keep everything on a permanent basis. I’d rather have less collections, but what they do come out with they’d be permanent items. If I really like something, I usually buy a backup because I know when I go back, they’ll be sold out. So, Kim, I definitely agree with you and the others about Mac and the LE’s.

Just picked up four of these shades from my favorite Mac counter. They were holding them for me and when I went to pick something else up, they let me purchase them today. I bought Pink Tea, Lovecloud, Immortal Flower and Peony Petal. They are all beautiful shades. I didn’t want Modern Mandarin, but it sold out already. It’s even sold out on Mac’s website. Immortal Flower is also sold out on the Mac website. The girl who waited on me at the Mac counter told me they only got two of Modern Mandarin in. Hate these limited edition products.
