Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Review & Swatches

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural brings vibrant lip color to your finger tips (or your lips in this case) in a lightweight, moisturizing formula for Spring/Summer 2012.

There’s just something about balm-y style lipsticks this year that are keeping my interest, thanks Revlon!

The new Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural has a soft, shiny finish that keeps lips hydrated but no worries you won’t have to forsake pigment for this beautiful formula.

Have a look!

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural could prove my favorite lipstick launch for Summer. These have a soft, creamy formula that smooths on lips in an easy, slow glide that’s downright sexy. Seriously, lipstick can be sexy. The texture of these is just like melted butter, they have that crazy cool glide that doesn’t tug or feel dry as it applies. On top of that sexy slide across lips they also have a subtle little hint of added shininess that gives lips a wicked little glossy finish. The lightweight texture might feel like it won’t wear long but these grip on and have a nice solid wear time of about five hours without eating or drinking.

They wear like a champ, offer the shiny finish of a gloss, feel like a tinted lip balm but have the pigmentation of a full fledged lipstick…ladies and gentleman we have a solid yay for Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural.

(Swatched from left to right: N31 and N9)

Overall, the hydrating feel will garner your attention particularly if you have drier lips as these stay moisturizing through their entire wear but the pigmentation and strong wear time will steal your heart. An awesome little lipstick with a hybrid formula that just works.

And the price tag isn’t too bad either at $19 and as always you can count on MUFE for variety, Rouge Artist Natural comes in 50 shades!

Available now at Sephora and Sephora.com but for the full shade selection catalog visit your nearest Make Up For Ever Boutique.

Very Muse Approved.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. N31 looks too bright & pop on the tube that I thought that was the colour. But the swatch is actually really sweeeeeet!
I have a thing about lip colours 😛
Mebbie I should get these 2 as well

THese are both really nice colors and the formula looks great. I have one of the MUFE high pigment colors from last year – that bright orange one. I really liked that one and it has great wear time. These look really nice and I’ll probably end up picking up one eventually.

I’m so excited that N9 is the birthday present this year! I never have bought MUFE, and this is not the type of shade I buy anyway, but it’s a really pretty color and I’m looking forward to it (I could order it anytime but I think I’ll try to get to a sephora on my birthday.)

hey can you tell me if this product contains any ethanol, ethyl alchohol, and if it’s actually natural, meaning no animal ingredients, apart from the beeswax ect, thanks!

Do you know a dupe (in colour and consistency) to the make up for ever N9? It’s my favourite and they sadly discontinued it ))):
