Milani Powder Eyeshadow Palette Abstract Review & Swatches

I feel overwhelmed with beauty lately and there aren’t a ton of you NEED these kinda moments in my makeup life but I’m warning you ahead of time, you NEED the new Milani Powder Eyeshadow Palette in Abstract.

Such a fabulous little palette, so incredibly budget friendly, an absolute dream for my nude/natural girls out there!

Take a look!

Milani has released three of these new Powder Eyeshadow Palettes two of which are matte shades but the color selection Abstract, combines some beautiful textures in a single palette.

This is a mosaic design with eight total shades of color. The dominate shade is a creamy matte beige located in the center of the palette. This is one of those shades that acts as a perfect color wash for prepping eyes or just on its own to brighten up eyes and create a flawless lid.

Surrounding the beige are several graduating shades of natural brown. Brown actually makes up a majority of the palette however you’ll also find a Stila Kitten dupe in here (a much nicer one by the way) as well as a brassy bronze shade. Three shimmers make up the palette and they all have a soft, velvety formula that blends like a dream. This is quality eyeshadow here and on par with many mid-range brands you’d find at Sephora for a quarter of the price might I remind you. The other shades are matte. I always find mattes a challenge and these are no different. They take a little time, patience, and attention to get into place but look lovely once applied. The texture of the mattes is soft and silky evidence of this can be found in the creamy beige shade in the center of the palette. Pigmentation is excellent as well.

I thought I might have issues with the palette because of the mosaic design and getting at certain shades but the colors are all large enough to fit a shadow brush. I had no problems getting at a shade I wanted or running into one I didn’t want.

I was very impressed with the overall palette. The shades are very me, the texture is incredible for this price point, pigmentation isn’t any issue, and the quality on a whole is something to be hailed.

Milani did a very good job with this one and really should consider releasing a few other shades. At the moment the other two shade selections aren’t as friendly as Abstract if you aren’t into louder colors or pastel ones. I’d love to see them do a green selection like this or even blue or purple shades.

A super eyeshadow palette all around and an essential one for the girl’s out there that love a great deal.

Loves this.

You NEED it.

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

This will be available end of March, early April at selection Walmart stores and also online at www.milanicosmetics.com

Funny the colors reminds me of the naked palettes. I think this would be great affordable alternative.

Under our clothes, we’re all nude/natural girls! 😉

Looks great! If I spot one, it’s mine!

  • Mallory

Come on Mallory, be strong. You don’t need another neutral eyeshadow palette. You just got the Naked2 for Christmas and have barely made a dent…. Argh! But it’s so pretty!

  • kimkats

If you guys remember, NYC Cosmetics did this very thing with a brown group, a purple group, etc. I can’t wait to add this one by Milani to my NYC mosaics! This kind of single-pan is exactly what’s needed for travel and to keep at your desk at work. WHEN CAN WE BUY IT, GIRL???
