Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara Review
Hunger Games comes on Friday w00t!
But I’m fan girlish enough to say that the most exciting part about heading to the movies to check it out is to see the trailer for the final installment of the Twilight trilogy.
If you’ll allow me to steal 14 seconds of your life away, here it is:
Enjoy Twi-harders!
For the beauty budget girls I have a little Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara, physics and rocket science degrees may be required for this one!
Take a peek!
Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara defines, builds, and curls lashes with a brush that’s divided into three parts. Honestly, you need to have a rocket science degree to explain this brush and how it works. Sheldon would be proud.
The applicator brush is made up of plastic as well as synthetic bristles. It has a full bushy look with a slight curve towards the center for curling lashes. The center bristles work to build lashes up, providing length as well as curl while the inner and outer lashes are pulled forward with the outer end bristles on the applicator.
See?
Told you it was complicated.
What it actually does? It creates fuller, longer lashes with a nice curl. That’s the simple explanation.
But things don’t come together that easily….
I find the applicator is a bit cumbersome to use as it saturates heavily with product so as you stroke it through your lashes it’ll begin to clump up and create a bit of a mess. My method turned from “quick, I wanna get out the door” to “slow and easy wins the race!”. You’ll want take a little time and patience during your application for the cleanest and best results. With that patience comes reward as you will find it creates a very nice volumized lash look.
The formula is a little heavy so it curls well enough but doesn’t hold curl due to the heavier texture of the mascara so you’ll notice a little droopiness to your lashes as the day progresses, but nothing too noticeable.
Overall, Total Lash Cover Mascara is for the girl’s who take a little more time with their makeup application as for the rest of us in a rush, well, avoid it. I find it needs a little tender, loving, care to get into place correctly without clumping up and creating a mess. Sadly, I can’t use a formula like this in the morning when my life just seems to be one big rush. I’ll keep it around for evening wear or weekends when I have the time to spare to baby the application.
This one is $4.99 and will be available at Walgreens this April.
