Napoleon Perdis Nude Rose Lip Gloss Review & Swatches
Ahh pure rosy sophisticated joy from the new Napoleon Perdis Nude Rose Lip Gloss today.
I don’t own enough warm, rosy shades like this in my collection.
This lovely little gloss was introduced with the Spring 2012 Collection. Interestingly enough this was released around Valentine’s Day this year and for some reason the shade does evoke romance to me.
There isn’t anything nude about it so disregard the name. It’s a rich, warm shade of rose that works fantastically well with a winged eye look or a minimal eye and vibrant blushing cheeks. Warmer shades of rose like this always prove easiest for me to wear as I am a little scared of red so this type of shade is my elegant “red” shade.
The formula is richly pigmented so it acts more as a lip cream than a simple gloss. It does lack a little in the shiny finish department so you might want to add a little clear gloss on top should you desire more shine. The formula is lightweight, non-sticky, and has a fairly lovely wear time at around 4 to 5 hours. I thought the wear time was quite surprising considering the thinner consistency of the formula and the lack of tack to keep it in place.
I do wince slightly at the $25 price tag. This is 0.17 oz so it is a sizable gloss however I always feel like Napoleon can do a little something, something about his prices, a little shave off here and there would make for a happier Muse and a happier consumer.
If you love warm rosy shades I’d highly suggest picking this one up!
