NP Set Brightening Pre-Foundation Primer Review & Swatches
I always get so many questions about ways to brighten, whiten, or lighten skin. I do so feel like Queen Know It All when it comes to the topic as I’m typically one for overindulging in Asian whitening solutions.
Not everyone wants permanent results though, some folks just want a way to ease dullness or just a little brightening up. My suggestion is ALWAYS the same for this, a lilac base. They aren’t too common here in the US but primers, cream bases, etc…all lilac based in color, are fairly popular in the Asian market. It’s a temporary solution to ease dullness and to get skin looking whiter and brighter.

This is the perfect solution for girls (or guys) suffering from duller skin or someone in need of a temporary way to brighten skin. It isn’t terribly pigmented and it isn’t the lilac base I’ve ever tried but what makes it a strong recommendation is the lack of color pay off. Lilac base can give a ghastly appearance when applied incorrectly but with NP Set’s Brightening Pre-Foundation Primer you won’t run into the issue.
The sheer formula subtly brightens with a creamy, moisturizing formula. It absorbs easily, leaves skin feeling smooth and soft, and most importantly it eases dullness and brightens up things ever so slightly without leaving a pale, ghostly finish behind. There’s something to be said about foolproof, easy to apply lilac primer.
The formula is probably most suited to drier skin types but it isn’t greasy nor is it oily so a little dab or two won’t hurt combination or oily skin. It sadly doesn’t keep foundation in place longer but it does create a smooth working canvas for it.
I think lilac bases and primers can be incredibly intimidating for some but those wanting to dabble their toes in the shark tank can take the easy route with NP Set Brightening Primer. This offers the easiest way to get brighter skin without over doing or making skin overwhelming white.
A great little primer that’s worth a try if you’re a bit on the duller side of the skin fence.
