NYX Mood Lipgloss Affectionate Review & Swatches

NYX Mood Lipgloss Affectionate is the last of the four Mood Glosses from NYX. I actually like these glosses a lot. They don’t have a terribly great wear time but they have a hydrating feel, a mirror-like finish, and they tint lips a delightful shade.

Let’s take a lookiee at Affectionate and see what the good word is!

NYX Mood Lipgloss Affectionate is actually the most subtle of the the Mood Glosses. The formula is a thinner gloss that has a mirror finish and a strawberry (it tastes almost like strawberry bubble gum to me) taste. I find this tops beautifully on stains and lipsticks to get a nice glossy finish or works beautifully on its own as a natural glossy look.

As I mentioned the color is the sheerest of the formulas that NYX offers. It tints lips with a very, very sheer hint of pink. It actually takes a while before the color changes but wait for a minute or two and you’ll notice it tints lips a delightfully natural hue of pink, it’s very light and natural, no garish bubblegum or fuchsia pinks here!

Wear time is iffy since the gloss is thin so you get about an 30 minutes to an hour with this before it wears away completely.

Overall, NYX Mood Lipglosses still prove a fun little budget pick. If you like super glossy glosses this is for you!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Aww, kinda sad that it doesn’t do crazy things, like orange lips.
