Sephora Be You Lip Balm Review & Swatches
Sephora Be You Lip Balm is an extension of their recently introduced Color Reveal Lip Balm. I liked Color Reveal a lot. It was cheap, it flushed my lips very nicely, and I only complained about the taste….pretty darn great for a self confessed ranter about the Sephora Makeup Collection.
So, I was pretty excited about the Be You Lip Balm but I’m not sure why they bothered changing the name. The color is called Coral Twist and they could have simply just included a new shade or added it to the Color Reveal Lip Balm line up right? But hey, I don’t express knowledge on the mysteries of makeup marketing.
Let’s take a look and see if Be You Lip Balm is as great as Color Reveal.
Dude, this sucks.
The formula is just as nice as the original pink version. It’s a smooth, balm-y texture that has a moisturizing, nourishing feel. That isn’t the problem.
Sephora deems this a tangerine inspired color but no go.
Aw my feelings are hurt guys.
Sadly, the custom shade of tangerine you is merely a shade of pink. On my lips it turns a brighter shade of pink but not coral or tangerine.
Le sigh!
Things could prove differently for those with less pigmented lips or perhaps with a different skin tone than my own but sadly for me it was a bust.
No likey.
I was a little disappointed that this is exactly the same shade as the Color Reveal Balm that I already own. On the plus side this has a fruity taste because Color Reveal, as you might remember from my review, tasted like cardboard.
Boo.
Tried it?
Do share the shade it turns on you!

P.S. I’m falling deeper and deeper in love with the Bro-mance between Hal and Tom. Are you still missing George and Mitchell? I think we need some Yaoi Fan Fiction about Tom and Hal, yes, we do.
