Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure Review & Swatches

Primed & Poreless Pure joins the ranks of Too Faced’s little primer empire. This one is an oil-free primer for the sensitive types out there as it contains a host pf ingredients to not only prep and prime skin but also to sooth it.

Let’s have a lookiee!

Too Faced revamped this formula to suit those with sensitive skin. It is a silicone-based primer so if your skin is a bit sensitive to such a primer you might want to check it out regardless. I found it gentle enough to use without feeling itchy which is promising considering my track record with silicone primers.

This runs a little thicker than the original Primed & Poreless Formula and is a clear shade versus the fleshy shade of the original. It has a powdery, velvety feel and finish with the slippery glide that primers with silicones typically have but still wears comfortably enough that I’m not feeling itchy under it. It doesn’t have issues with pilling (rolling off in tiny balls) either which is a plus. It does a fine job of perfecting skin while mattifying it and controlling shine. My forehead is a bit shiny at the moment and this made the area nice and matte. My pores are smaller however the ones around my nose are a bit on the larger side and this does a nice job of blurring and filling these areas for a smooth, flawless finish. Since it creates an even layer for foundation to adhere to it, it will allow base products to wear longer. It creates a waterproof barrier between your skin and your foundation keeping it in place and preventing it from oxidizing overly fast.

This sensitive version is 100% Oil Free and contains an ingredient called Sepi-Calm with soothes inflamed skin, redness, etc…it supposedly brightens the complexion as well but I failed to notice this during my use with it.

Overall, Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure proves a lovely little primer. I think the thicker formula offers the ability to cover a greater amount of surface issues such as larger pores or finer and deeper lines on your face. A little under your eyes goes a long way at creating a smooth, even surface for concealer as well. I’m not typically a fan of silicone primers but this proved gentle enough for even me who typically feels very itchy with them in place.

You can indulge in Too Faced Primer & Poreless Pure as well as the rest of the Too Faced Summer 2012 Collection later this week at www.toofaced.com

    2012 Collection* not 2011 hehe 🙂

I have a question, doesn’t silicone make skin age more quickly? This is why I have been hesitant to try primers :\

Also so excited for this collection!!! Everything looks amazing and I think Too Faced is the winner already for this years Summer 2012 makeup 😀

      • Agata

I just saw somewhere online that the collection is supposed to be available March 22nd…although all the ads, even on your blog say “shop summer 2012 collection now”.

        • the Muse

sorry agata, I don’t have control over the ads unfortunately, too faced merely said that the collection would launch sometime this week, so if you’ve heard the 22nd I imagine that’s the go ;-D

          • Agata

lol, I know you don’t have control over them, I am just very impatient 🙂

          • the Muse

Hey Muse, So I’ve been using this for a couple days and it is seriously amazing! It’s on it’s way to becoming a HG of mine 😀 It even performs better than my Mac primer.

      • Cj

Likey? I lovey lol! I’m gonna use this primer when ever I want a longer wear time and the cover fx one when I want something more hydrating 🙂 Thanks sooo much for posting this lol

YAY warms my heart to hear it ;-D my PLEASURE! I’m just glad you loved it!

I find this one very sticky and tough to cover my face witht. I mix it with another, cheaper silicone primer for a bit more spread.
