Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum Review
In a very interesting turn of events, the new Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum has entered my evening fragrance life. The bottle will captivate and capture your interest but the scent might just make you turn your head and say, “Oh really?”
Take a look!
I’m for sweet scents, fruity ones, girlish ones. Perhaps my fragrance maturity level doesn’t exactly match my age but I am all about sparkling sweet fruity blends.
However, on occasion, an interesting blend will whirl into my life and I’ll become obsessed with it and so the story goes for Valentina.
Being quite a fan of rose, I’ve come to associate the note with Valentino fragrances. Valentina is a tad misleading with her bottle…
She’s an elegant, fancy little lady with a silver topped mister, round glass bottle, and rosy flower blooms. I love the bottle, it’s sweet and feminine. But don’t let it fool you, all that sweet, flirty bottle houses a punch.
This one has plenty of sophisticated attitude with opening notes of Calabrian bergamot which give the fragrance a fresh opening. But things get a little crazy with the introduction of jasmine, orange, and tuberose and a splash of wild strawberries and a final dry down of sensual amber that wraps the floral notes in a warm, hard hug. On some levels it reminds me of a softer version of Thierry Mugler’s Angel.
Not my typical fragrance of choice but gorgeous none the less right down to the bottle the fragrance comes in.
Lovely.
