BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream Review & Swatches
Most commonly asked question…
“What’s your favorite BB Cream?”
It’s tough to answer this because I tend to use a different one everyday since I have over 30 tubes in rotation ay any given time and I’m always testing new ones. That’s possibly obscene and slightly crazy but I’m just like every other girl or guy out there, I’m seeking flawless skin and BB Creams provide it.
One thing I will say is I go back again and again to a few particularly formulas I love one of which is BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream.
It tops my hit list.
This isn’t for everyone sadly and heck it isn’t for me since the shade runs a little light. I’m not an expert at MAC shades but I’d say you’re looking at NC20 or so here in terms of color. I THINK I’m a NC30 but I don’t use MAC Foundations nor have I bothered having a sit in to get a MAC artist to match me up for a shade.
The shade is a creamy beige with pinker undertones. I find it doesn’t adjust as well as I’d like and does leave behind a pasty finish if you aren’t careful with application. If it fits your tone, indulge, use as much as you want. If it doesn’t….I suggest mixing it with a LITTLE bit of your own foundation to darker it up a bit.
I personally use it as is but I use very little, just enough to ease dullness and brighten my skin up.
Now that I’ve bored you with those details….
Here’s why I love it.
It’s creamy, it’s hydrating, and it has incredible coverage. Redness, dullness, darkness…whatever your issue, it offers great coverage to achieve flawless skin. This is the benefit of using an Asian BB Cream, coverage! Unlike BB Creams here in the US this actually offers sheer to full coverage.
One of the things that I love about Jasmine Water BB Cream is it’s such a friendly product for my drier skin. This is very hydrating and always looks natural and flawless on my skin. It never accentuates dry patches and always offers coverage perfection. This may sound odd but it’ll lay on top of drier skin and not only moisturize the area through the wear but also conceal that dry patch so it looks like your skin is perfectly hydrated.
The other thing I like about it is it treats skin. Jasmine Extract seems to leave my drier skin beautifully hydrated through the entire wear and well after I removed the BB Cream plus it eases dullness in a major way.
Fine, my skin looks great with it on BUT…when I remove it…my dull skin will literally glow and look healthy and gorgeous. Of course, I have to use the BB Cream consecutively for several days before seeing these types of results but indeed that is exactly what it does. But having legendary dull skin I love how it gives the problem a real perk up.
It does whiten thanks to the addition of Arbutin but you have to use it daily and for a very long time to notice results in this area. Arbutin is the type of ingredient that works best over long term use.
It’s actually formulated for younger, drier skin. I fit the drier skin category but not the younger so don’t purchase if you’re wanting a super anti-aging BB Cream as this contains Adenosine only and nothing more in terms of anti-aging ingredients.
One thing to keep in mind, the titanium dioxide and Zinc Oxide does give a pasty effect but I find it eases within 10-20 seconds of application. This has a lower SPF level of 30 which is a little disappointing for a BB Cream.
Overall, for me, personally, I love BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream even though the shade isn’t a complete match. You can see me wearing it by clicking here (you’ll notice I’m a tad bit fairer than normal in that photo).
Its ability to make my duller skin look glowy and healthier after use is one of the key reasons I love it so much.
If you have drier skin and you’re looking for a BB Cream that whitens (over time, with patience), has minimal sun protection, offers very little anti-aging properties, and treats dullness, this is one for you. Coverage is can be sheer or fully buildable to hide any sort of issues on your skin plus it wears very lightweight without oxidizing or fading (you can get 5 to 8 hours of wear with proper application).
I like this one a lot however I won’t Muse Approve since the shade doesn’t adjust sadly. If it did, this would be perfection.
It’s available at Sasa.com
If you love it, I’d love to hear about it.
