Cheap Thrills: Essence Quattro Eyeshadow Ciao Bella! Review & Swatches

Today’s cheap thrills are brought to you by this itty bitty little palette from Essence.

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow Palettes are $2.99 and create a super budget friendly eye look in seconds.

Not to shabby for under $3 bucks peeps.

This little palette features four shades of contrasting shadow that act as a highlighter, base color, highlighter, and a contrasting shade for creating a super simple eye look.

Shades are surprisingly pigmented at this price tag and blend easily. They have a heavy feel with an almost but not quite velvet-y texture that applies easily on lids. The color selection I have is Ciao Bella! which is a selection of browns for a smoky or nude/natural eye look. The shades worked well together and were easy to contrast without looking muddy or turning into a single shade after I blended them out. Wear time is iffy so you’ll want to pack on the primer less these fade away within an hour or two of application. Without primer they tend to fade easily and lose their vibrancy and disappear around two hours in but with primer they tend to stick around far longer at about 5 hours before showing minor creasing.

I wouldn’t call them amazing but if you’re really strapped for cash or just in it for a cheap thrill, the Essence Quattro Eyeshadow Palette delivers some fun.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
