L’Occitane Pivoine Delicate Lipstick Review & Swatces

The L’Occitane Pivoine Delicate Makeup Collection has launched online. Joy!

I’m quite excited about this collection. I generally like the L’Occitane makeup pieces I own and I really look forward to the new seasonal releases. It’s such an affordable little collection that’s girlish and quite lovely.

Today I’ll be reviewing one of three new shades of L’Occitane Pivoine Delicate Lipstick that have launched.

Take a look!

I won’t bore you with too many details since I have reviewed this formula time and time again with each release. I’m sure you’re tired of me telling you how much I enjoy it!

The lipstick has a super buttery formula that glides on lovingly and leaves behind a shiny finish. Unlike colors I already own this shade is quite sheer, I suspect maybe all three colors might be the same, but it still manages to give a nice nude MLBB (my lips but better) finish.

The packaging is a lovely cardboard tube with peony flowers surrounding it. It’s very girlish and sweet so if you place a ton of importance on pretty packaging, this brings it.

I do find it ever so slightly irritating they don’t name the shades. The color I have here is simply dubbed as 02. It’s a nude beigey pink color.

If you’re a bit sensitive beware as this is scented and flavored like the Pivoine Delicate Fragrance. I don’t mind, which is surprising as I like flavored lipsticks but I don’t like floral perfume-y tasting ones, however, I realize this isn’t for everyone.

Overall, these lipsticks have always proved a hit with me both in the past and in the present. This formula is a bit sheerer than what I’m used to from L’Occitane though, just a warning! But overall, a great lipstick.

I love them but the friggen top of my lipsticks don’t stay on >.<**

So until they figure out some way to get the cardboard tops to stay on I am not getting any more lipstick, boo :0

There are few things I love more than sheer, comfortable MLBB lipsticks. This calls to me. You will be mine! Is this only available online, or is it in stores as well? I’m a little wary of the fragrance factor since I don’t know what the Pivion fragrance is like. I can’t wear Rimmel lipsticks because they smell so perfume-y to me.

in stores too mallory if you’ve never tried the l’occtaine lippies, you’re in for a very pleasant surprise ;-D this has a sorta peony rose scent/taste but nothing too crazy imho…not say as bad as the london lippy glosses

That sheer color is sooo pretty! But, the scented lippies really bother me for some reason. Possibly since it’s so close to the nose and gets smelled all day??

Gorgeous! But I’d have to find an equally pretty lipstick holder to keep it in–with a cardboard lipstick holder I’m always paranoid that it’ll get stained by a pen or something in my purse or get otherwise damaged.

Are you sure there isn’t a name, Muse? I stopped in today after reading your rave review and picked up Charming Coral. There was also something Brown and I think Peony Pink. My brain translated from French to English so I might not be remembering the names exactly right but I think they were written on the top of the cap.

The sheerness definitely makes the shades more MLBB instead of a high impact lipstick. Not sure what I think of the formula yet but they’re a little too shimmery to be perfectly subtle. Kind of a special occasion natural lip or the kind of thing to pair with simple makeup.

I think they have the color name on top of its cardboard case;)

I bought a lipstick that looked dark but had a light colour with a twist top. I went back to the same shop in Nice Airport, they no longer stock it. It cost 15 Euros. Where else can I buy it in the Var?

    • Isabella Muse

I have no idea, I’m in the USA not sure what they stock in the Nice airport.

    Hi,
I just read about the Peony lipsticks and it is exactly what I want. Where do I find it? I Will be in France for the next month but will be in UK for the next 5 months.
