MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion Review

MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion for Summer 2012 the perfect treat for dry skin.

With so many brands concentrating on the best ways to mattify skin as the warmer weather approaches, it’s nice to know MAC has the drier skin girls covered with a hydrating primer.

Let’s take a peek at MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion!

MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion is a hybrid serum slash primer that saturates skin with a concentrated boost of hydration. This water based primer is best compared to Make Up For Ever HD Elixir (another favorite of mine).

This is a thin liquid serum that you can use after moisturizer and prior to foundation for added moisture as well as an aid for easing dry, patchy areas and allowing foundation to apply with a smooth, easy glide.

A quick look at the ingredients yields nothing too incredible (I’m not an expert though) but the real joy of the product would be the amount of moisture it adds and retains. It absorbs easily into skin without being tacky or sticky and creates a smooth, moistened finish which seems to hold all day. My skin drinks this up and my foundation has a fresher look and finish courtesy of it.

I’m not sure if you’re need another facial primer to try but I will say this is lovely stuff that’s well worth a pick up for dry skin girls. If you’re combination or oily skin you can use it as a lightweight moisturizer as well!

Loves it.

This may be a “gottagit” for winter! I *really* like the regular prep and prime but a skosh more moisture can never hurt a gal in cold witner climate!

How does this compare, moisture and texture wise, to the original (non spf) P&P?

I always have oily skin in the summer and dry in the winter (annoying!!), but this works amazing for both! In the summer, I use it as a moisturizer and in the winter after my moisturizer as a primer. good stuff!!

I know this is super late but do you remember if this helped prolong foundation or should i try another primer for dry skin , sadly my dryness sucks up everything ugh dry skin problems . I hate it when my foundation looks flawless but dry around my

this isn’t going to really prolong the wear if your foundation unfortunately 🙁 I have the same issues! My dry skin eats up bb creams/foundation products quickly!
