Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

The British are busy, busy, busy in the BB Cream realm. They are the first to get many major drugstore brand BB Creams which I suspect, if we’re lucky, we’ll see either Fall 2012 or Winter 2012.

If we get lucky maybe we’ll even see them this Summer but I’m doubting that.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream should appeal to those who love the Dream Mousse Collection as this seems like something they’ll likely fit into that category.

Take a look!

They tote Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream as an 8 in 1 BB Cream that has a natural, glowing finish, an SPF 30 with a hydrating formula.

It promises to blur minor imperfections with an oil-free formula that keeps skin looking fresh.

It’s available in four shades:

  • Light
  • Natural Glow
  • Medium
  • Dark

It’s terrible to make snap judgements on products before trying them but after viewing the product in photos I see it has a very thin consistency with a watery-like texture which can only mean it’s probably sheer and has very little BB Cream-like qualities.

I’ll be reviewing it shortly for you but I have a feeling this one might be a fail.

As much as I love that the drugstore will be jumping into the BB Cream pool soon I can’t help but express my disappointment at how much liberty brands have been taking with the formula.

Do you think you’ll try Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream when it launches stateside?

I’m going to already call this a fail. Western BB creams are just bad. They need to be renamed tinted moisturizers.

I might try this if it hits the US even if it does function more as a TM than a BB cream. I like the SPF 30.

Wow so many. I want to wait it out until I know what the Asian bb creams are so I could compare them to the western. At least then I have a bit of knowledge and say “TM =/= BB!”

check the archives stellar I have a ton of reviews on Asian BB Creams and an article about the difference between TM and BB.

Personally I don’t find bb creams amazing. I have oily skin so maybe I don’t feel the benefits because it just feels like a tinted moisturizer with a high spf It’s nice that we are getting them now because there are more shades compared the korean brand that i tried but I find it scary when I see many companies coming out with bb creams. I mean if the product has high SPF, tinted and feels fantastic, I wouldn’t mind if they just called it tinted moisturizer.

Meh. They should bring over the Mineral BB Cream that they already sell in Asia. Not make up a new one.

What’s w/ the surge of BB creams that aren’t true BB creams? Disappointing. Plus, I have had absolutely no luck w/ any Maybelline foundation products (including concealer and powders). I’ll happily fork over the cash for my Dior or Hourglass foundation, or the higher shipping (saying this as I’m spoilt by my typically free shipping through other sites) for my BBs!

After the initial dispapointment of the garnier one I’m totally skeptical of all western bb creams! Sticking with my skin79; have recently tried lioele too after avoiding it for so long in re belief it would be too light for my nc25-30 skintone the triple function actually looks alright!

I have never seen a western BB cream that is as good as those Korean BB creams. I do not know why they cannot make the same formula or anything close to it. However, I am still looking forward to your product review. Maybe this Dream Fresh will be a good one, or not. Cheers!

I want to be excited for this launch BUT I have not liked western BB dreams at all -____- Asian ones are definitely better. But maybe this one will be different?…. We can only hope.
