Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss Show Stopper High Status Review & Swatches

Milani has three new shades available of Glitzy Glamour Gloss. Somehow, someway I confused these with my favorite Milani Gloss, which is actually 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss. So when I got them I was kinda confused they didn’t contain shimmer and had a sponge applicator…

Duh!

I realized I’ve never technically tried Glitzy Glamour Gloss only the 3D formula which is vastly different.

See? You learn something new everyday.

Take a look!

Both High Status and Show Stopper are gorgeous shades that I like to prance around the house in while convincing myself how fabulous I look.

But facts is facts I look like living dead girl in these mod pink shades. Damn….! Seeing these shades you’re bound to fall in love with them, they are gorgeous, but don’t blame me if I hate you when you can pull them off better than I can.

These are both nude shades of cream pink. Mmm if you want to be technical, High Status has a bit of peach going on in and reminds me of Tarte’s Glisten Blush.

I wish Milani would embrace a brush applicator for these as I’m not keen on the brush since the product ended up applying a bit patchy on my lips due to the cream finish. High Status has a certain pearl sparkle to it but it still has a greater cream-like finish in the end and I always find such a finish a bit unforgivable on drier lips.

If you do favor creams and wear them well you’ll enjoy these. They each have full color pay off with a tacky yet comfortable formula that has a nice wear time that seems to stick around on lips without migrating or at least they didn’t for me. They have a watermelon bubblegum-like taste that I found pleasant but if you’re sensitive you might want to sniff prior to a purchase to be safe.

High Status and Show Stopper

I thought the formula wore well but it did accentuate a less than smooth lip so little dry areas will look badly if you don’t take a moment to exfoliate or at the least apply balm under them for the smoothest most flawless finish.

The real joy I found here was the shades. Sadly, neither works well for me but I absolutely adored them anyway.

High Status is a soft golden peachy pink with a high level of baby pink and Show Stopper is a dusky rosy pink. They go a bit mod on me and I’m kinda sorta blaming the finish for that as I think if it wasn’t for the cream I’d probably be able to do them justice with just a touch of sparkle.

Overall, I highly recommend checking them out in store. The shades seem very unique to me and quite pretty although more suitable for Spring looks than Summer ones.

The new shades are launching at drugstores now.

I’ve seen them at both Walgreens and CVS. They are part of the general catalog so there won’t be a special display with the new colors. Just the regular Milani end cap for them!

Tried ’em?

Saw them in store already?

Whatcha think?

Have you tried the Glitzy Glamour Gloss formula before?

Love it?

Prefer 3D?

Ohhhh I love the sparkly, minty one with the brush applicator!

These colors look pretty nice. I actually think High Status flatters your coloring–I’d just forego blush and maybe just highlight the cheeks and wear some nude shadow if you wanted to work it.

I bet my lips would still darken these up. I can’t make my lips do anything near nude without covering them in lip liner first.

prance on and do a little shimmy while your at it! shake what your momma gave ya!!

you’re too hard on yourself, those colors look great on you but it may just be outside of what your normally comfortable wearing is the thing. I have a ton of red lippies and love them but feel really weird wearing pink. it prolly looks fine but it feels like i’m going for the undead look. or may be dead look, either way, looks weird.

aw thanks…I seriously feel odd in moddy pinks like this! that’s the same for me!

I’m with the two posters above–you look great in both colors. The lack of sparkle is actually nice for a sweet, fresh, spring look on you. Go prance in a field of flowers and see how you feel.
