Musings of the Day: Hair Chalkin’ is a Trendin’ for Summer, Will You Be Checking It Out?
I’ve used Bloody Mary eyeshadow as hair chalk in the past because it’s fun for weekends but I can’t come into my office and see clients with a hot pink or orange streaks in my hair.
Sometimes I have to remember I’m a grown up.
Also, hair dye can damage hair terribly…so hair chalkin’ is such a great way to embrace the trend without killing your hair.
Good news if you like embracing funky fun trends with your hair, hair chalk is trending for your Summer looks!
Chalk (purchased at craft stores) is extremely easy to use as you simply wet it and swipe it across a strip or several strips of hair. It’ll dye your hair an outrageous shade temporarily without damaging anything and washes out in a snap.
Last year, feathers and beads were something that popped up at Sephora as the Summer approached so I have a feeling you’ll see some sort of kit or brand introducing hair chalk to you soon.
It’s a fun, easy, inexpensive way to embrace color temporarily and return to the land of grown ups on Monday morning without committing too much.
Me, being a commit-phobe, it proves the perfect way to get my color fix without having to live with it forever.
Would you try it?
