NARS Summer 2012 Collection

The NARS Summer 2012 Collection is on the loose today and I couldn’t be more excited to hear about it.

Take a look!

The NARS Summer 2012 campaign was designed and photographed by the brand’s Founder and Creative Director François Nars. Once again, the inimitable Ginta Lapina personifies the look. To begin, St. Moritz Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF30/PA+++ was applied to the center of the face with the fingertips and blended outward, then set with Eden Loose Powder to create an immaculate complexion.

To lend the skin a light bronzed look, Laguna Bronzer was dusted onto the face in the shape of a ‘3, starting at the forehead, swept on to the cheek, and then along the jawline. The apples of the cheeks were warmed with Liberté Blush and the face further defined by softly dusting Taos Blush along the hairline.

A mixture of the silver and icy peach shades of Ramatuelle Trio Eyeshadow were brushed onto the lid and blended up into the crease. The apricot shade of the Trio was added in to the crease, with the silver shade swept along the lower lash line. The upper and lower lids were lined with Via Veneto Larger Than Life Long- Wear Eyeliner. After curling the lashes with an eyelash curler, two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara were brushed on to the lashes.

Finally, the lips were lined and filled with Borneo Lip Liner Pencil”blending with a finger to soften the color. Moscow Pure Matte Lipstick was applied, then topped with Risky Business Lip Gloss for shine.

NARS Ramatuelle Trio Eyeshadow $45 (LE)
Named for a village in the Provence-Alpes-Côte dAzur region of southeastern France, this elegant Trio Eyeshadow combines two shimmers”silver and icy peach”with a matte apricot for a unexpected warm-cool take on a neutral palette. NARS Liberte Blush $28
French for freedom, this versatile burnished apricot imparts a fresh, warm flush to the skin. Dust on apples of the cheeks for a sexy, carefree glow.

NARS Marie-Galante Eyeshadow Duo $34
Named for the Caribbean island in the Guadeloupean archipelago, this Duo Eyeshadow is an iridescent combination of orchid paired with regal blue and is at once both soft and striking. Wear layered for a look that really pops.

NARS Calabria Soft Touch Shadow Pencil $24
This versatile, shimmering plum Soft Touch Shadow Pencil is the ideal complement for color on lids. Named for the region south of Naples, at the “toe” of the Italian Peninsula”it can be worn solo, as a base for powder shadows, or as a liner.

NARS Moscow Pure Matte Lipstick $25
This strawberry red Pure Matte Lipstick is as striking and sophisticated as the Russian capital that lends its name.

NARS Buenos Aires Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil $24
This wear-with-anything nude beige pink Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil is named after the capital of Argentina. It combines the ease of a pencil with the finish of a gloss for a truly versatile, quintessential modern classic.

Never Say Never Velvet Matte Lip Pencil $24
Line, fill, then top with gloss”or dont. This lilac rose Velvet Matte Lip Pencil delivers a look youll never say no to, however you choose to wear it.

NARS Vendanges Lipstick $24
The French word for “harvest” or “vintage” perfectly describes this sheer grape Lipstick, as it conjures images of juicy, just-picked fruit off the vine.

NARS Trouville Nail Polish $18
The seashell pink nail hue would look right at home on the beaches of the fishing village in the Basse-Normandie region of northwestern France, for which it is named.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I don’t like NARS but that Liberte Blush looks like a fantastic colour!

Good morning, it’s funny what we notice about pictures when we see them. All I saw the first time i looked at it was the eye and lip; but after reading your post I went back to look again and all I saw was her nose! LOL
It’s early, I’m one cup in and this struck me funny.

      Have a great weekend! 🙂

This model is so unusual. I love the way they played up the blue on the eyes / tan of the skin. The lip color is unexpected as well, looks nice though.

I love nars and I actually like all of these. Not sure I need all of it especially the trio but I’ve got a lemming or two here.
