Philosophy Divine Classically Coordinated Beauty Kit Review & Swatches

Philosophy Divine Classically Coordinated Beauty Kits
recently launched at QVC. These five piece sets are available in two shade selections and contain four full size Philosophy Divine makeup pieces as well as a makeup bag for $50.

Purchased separately the makeup would set you back over $70 so this a really nice way to experience the Philosophy Divine Makeup Collection. Plus add to the fact the products create a coordinated look which takes the guess work out of what colors work well together and you have yourself a practical and fabulous little purchase.

Take a peek!

The Philosophy Divine Classically Coordinated Beauty Kit includes:

  • Philosophy Divine Creamy Eye Color
  • Philosophy Divine Luxurious Lip Color
  • Philosophy Divine Luxurious Lip Gloss
  • Philosophy Divine Volumizing Mascara
  • Divine Makeup Bag

These come in two shade selections the one I’m reviewing for you today is Radiant Rose and the other (I’ll swatch that one and review for you shortly as well) is Beautiful Beige.

I’ve said it before and I have to say it again the Philosophy Divine Luxurious Lip Color is truly one of the best lipstick formulas I’ve had the pleasure of using. It has such a soft, buttery glide across lips with incredible pigmentation and a light, glossy finish. It really is an amazing formula. Typically formulas like this are reserved for a lipstick with a sheerer color pay off. You are not forsaking pigmentation for the lovely, hydrating formula here. The shade they give you is Classic Rose, it’s a warm almost maroon-like shade that should compliment most skin tones.

They also include a gloss in Golden Rose, this is a great pick to tone down the redder lipstick if you feel the shade is a little much for you. It includes a brush applicator which has no splitting problems and builds color easily. The formula is fairly lightweight with a glossy finish and sheer to medium color payoff. The wear time is a little iffy since it lacks a tacky, sticky finish so you’re looking at two to three hours of wear before a touch up is needed. I think the gloss has a very luxurious feel to it, it’s odd saying that since I commonly associate Philosophy with skincare and shower gels, but indeed, the formula is excellent so this isn’t something they simply slapped together, it’s a well thought out formula.

To complete the look they gave you a cream shadow in Sand which is a rich taupe. This compliments the red lips very nicely. I’ve reviewed the formula on these before which you can see by clicking here. They have a sponge applicator and an emollient formula that blends easily with an excellent color payoff. They dry down to a nice even finish and have a very good wear time of around 6 hours prior to fading a little bit into hour 7. I noticed the formula seems to have changed on these…as I had an issue with it become drier as the day progressed but didn’t experience that with this shade.

Philosophy Divine Volumizing Mascara tops the look off. This is a basic mascara that gives great length and a good deal of volume. It can go a little clumpy if you aren’t careful so use a little TLC as a rushed application will end up messy.

Overall, I think the kit is stunning. It’s a brilliant way to experience the Divine Illumination Makeup Collection if you’ve never tried anything from it before. It’s a value as well as purchasing the pieces separately can be costly. I think, since the collection is exclusive to QVC, Philosophy’s Makeup Collection does get overlooked but I can honestly say everything I’ve tried from their cosmetic line has proved amazing. This is a great excuse to try it for yourself.

Only thing I’d change? Slap a blush in it, maybe raise the price tag to $60 for that extra product, and it’ll be a complete face in a bag!

Love this.

Muse Approved for purchase.

I think you’ll like it as much as I did.

Yes, I couldn’t have said it better myself. That look is excellent for your coloring. I know you’re all about the peaches and the corals, but you really look great in these colors!

The only thing I hate about ordering from QVC or HSN is that they hit you with shipping AND taxes. I bet you aren’t really saving that much on this deal.

I totally thought I was over pink until I saw that bag. The makeup looks pretty nice but I WANT that bag . =)
