Sephora Purifying Cleansing Gel Review

Facts is facts, so far, I haven’t had reason to rant Sephora’s Skincare Collection. It’s actually pretty decent. I’m actually sad I don’t have something to harp on.

Damn…

Maybe I just love being miserable?

Wink!

Take a look at the Sephora Purifying Cleansing Gel, it’s a rather nifty little treat to use with your Clarisonic.

This one is a super mild cleansing gel which lathers up to rinse skin free of oil, dirt, and makeup.

I think one of the greatest things about the Sephora Skincare Collection is the fact they rarely strip my skin or leave it feeling dry after use.

Supposedly the Purifying Cleansing Gel (as well as all the products in the line) contains something called HydroSenn+ which is a polysaccharide derived from an Indian plant (Cassia angustifolia) proven to deliver hydration more effectively than hyaluronic acid.

This acts as an aid to help the skin to retain moisture. Personally, I didn’t experience that with the cleansing gel, kinda hard to when you’re rinsing the product away and it isn’t technically staying on your face eh? But on the upside it rinses clean away and leaves my skin perfectly normal. Not anymore hydrated than it was before use and most importantly not anymore drier.

The gel is very light and surprising to me was the fact it foamed up. I didn’t expect that for some reason. It works great to remove makeup but I wouldn’t call it a deep clean. I like using it in the AM with my Clarisonic as it’s a nice, simple cleanser that refreshers and isn’t too heavy.

It’s water based and paraben free which are two other perks.

For $12, I’d say it’s not too bad at all and worth checking out if you’re interested in something that works a treat with your Clarisonic Brush. Just remember, it’s basic, not a ton of bells and whistles here but sometimes simple is a good thing.
