Stila Passion Fruit Crush Lip & Cheek Stain So Wait, It’s Red Right?

Stila Passion Fruit Crush Lip Cheek Stain 12

I told you earlier this month that Stila had plans to release a new shade of Crush Lip & Cheek Stain in Passion Fruit. This was an unexpected treat as the Crushes have been on and off sale lately so a few of us were busy biting our finger nails and pacing, worried the Crush Collection would be discontinued. What would our makeup staining lives be like without Stila Crush in it? My God! The horror of it all!

Interestingly enough they waited to release the shade with their Summer 2012 Collection.

But wait…it’s supposed to be red right?

So I was hyped that they were releasing a new shade but was a little meh about the shade as it’s described as a light red shade with subtle shimmer. Seemed a little too similiar to other shades already released.

Fast forward to the actual launch and it looks coral but they still tote it as a light red shimmery shade.

What’s that all about?

Now I’m curious.

Of course, promo image swatches are almost ALWAYS wrong but not as WRONG as this one.

What do you think?

I’m gonna get it. I’m gonna need another stain to survive this summer anyway lol. Here’s hoping for a little coralness :)

I like this better than I’d like a red! There are enough of those.

Ooooooooo….I’m excited to see swatches! I only own one coral lip product and want to get another for this summer, this is the first one that has really caught my attention! And if it’s red I will be sad, I really want to expand my coral/peach toned makeup.

I’m confused by the name passion fruit . . . it’s dark red on the outside but yellow on the inside . . . how did “light red” or this coral color come about???? If this is indeed the color, they should say apricot or papaya.
