Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection Summer 2012

The Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection launches this Spring 2012/Summer 2012 with some sizzling shades that are sure to please the nail girls amongst us!

Fashion and beauty have always gone hand in hand. Now, those hands have the nail polish to match. Introducing the Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection, the brands first collaboration with a fashion designer in the nail category. Already frequent collaborators at New York Fashion Week, founder and creative director Francois Nars has partnered with Thakoon Panichgul to develop a limited edition, six-shade nail collection.

In conceptualizing the shade range, Thakoon was inspired by the vibrant colors found in Indian spice markets. The highly saturated, high-shine shades come in an opaque finish, perfect for spring. Formula is long-wearing, chip-resistant and toluene-, formaldehyde- and DBP-free.

Shades include:

  • Anardana – Azalea pink
  • Ratin Jot – Orchid purple
  • Amchoor – Bright yellow
  • Kutki – Powder blue
  • Koliary – Cyan blue
  • Lal Mirchi – Mandarin red (only available at NARS 413 Bleecker Street Boutique)

Available beginning May 1, 2012 on www.narscosmetics.com for $18 each.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I know it’s inspired by an Indian market, but it’s a shame they didn’t use Thai inspiration and use Thai names! I’m half Thai and I was born and raised in Bangkok, so when NARS made the Pure Matte Lipsticks, I immediately went out and bought Bangkok without checking what colour it was (luckily it’s a gorgeous flattering pink haha). I know it’s silly but I totally dig makeup products with cool names 🙂
