YBF Luminous Love Illuminating Creme Review & Swatches
Beautiful little YBF Luminous Love Illuminating Creme I really don’t need you because my stash already contains a rather obscene amount of highlighters I’m not using but how can I possibly resist you?

You could put mud in a pretty compact and call it bronzer and I’d just want it for the pretty packaging alone. Mmmhmm I am some shallow person when it comes to pretty little tubes, bottles, and compacts.
YBF has a few princess-y pieces in their collection that are sure to please if you put plenty of emphasis on the pretty when it comes to your packaging details.
This blinged out black case features a sparkling heart on the compact’s face. The entire compact is done in black with sparkling black rhinestones and a silver sparkling heart in the center. It’s a little bit of a lightweight, you’d think it would carry a little weight behind it with the details they went into on the face plate but it is simply plastic. The good news is those little rhinestones are one entire piece so you can toss this in your makeup bag without fear of rhinestones popping off. This is pretty sturdy, I actually tested it to see how it would hold out and it pretty much took the torture of being tucked into my makeup bag and tossed in my tote without a hiccup. It comes with a velvet drawstring bag if you want to give it a little TLC though.
Inside you’ll find an illuminating cream highlighter. It’s pink pearl shade that quite reminds me of Benefit Watt’s Up for some reason. The formula is quite frosty so a little goes a long way. You’ll want to dab a little bit on cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, or on your highbrow for a hint of glamorous radiance but don’t over do it as it is quite potent!
The formula is soft and blends easily. It’s a tad frosty at first swatch but it blends out to a high focused glowing finish that’s quite flattering if you have the know how when applying it. I’m a little goofy with products like this so I did try it on my face but proceeded to not head out of the house with it in place for fear I over did it. I actually really like it on my highbrow to highlight my eyes a little bit, it’s quite lovely in this area.
I wish they included some sort of sponge or applicator to apply this but it’s understandable they didn’t as fingers are probably the best technique here.
The compact features a plastic overlay to keep the cream fresh. I’ve only had it a week and so far after a few uses it still feels soft and creamy…I do worry about these cream formulas in this type of packaging though as sometimes they harden up after a few months but this seems ok thus far.
If you’re looking for a gorgeously inexpensive ($24 @ HSN) highlighting cream with a paraben-free formula I think this fits the bill nicely. It works just as nicely as Benefit Watt’s Up, leaves the parabens out, and gives you more product for your buck plus let’s not forget cute packaging!
