Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Original Shades Review and Swatches

I’m gearing up to review the new shades of Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm but I just wanted to briefly address the original eight shades.

Let’s have a little look!

I discovered while testing out the new shades that I actually love and like the original colors better. I think those with paler lips will appreciate the new colors as they apply best on less than pigmented lips in my opinion as the colors prove a little more subtle than the original colors.

I’ve already reviewed and raved these shades before but I wanted to do a quick recap of the old colors prior to getting on with the new colors.

So here’s a look at the original Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm shades.

(Swatched and labeled in their order of appearance in the first photo line up)

Fuller Fig

Richer Raisin

Super Strawberry

Whole Lotta Honey

Chunky Cherry

Whoppin’ Watermelon

Mega Melon

Do you own any of these shades?

Any favs?

I’ve actually on my second stick of Mega Melon. It’s one of my very favorite shades!

Both the new and original shades are available now at your fav Clinique counter or online at www.clinique.com

Muse – are you able to do any color comparisons to the Revlon Just Bitten stain balms? I love the last 4 colors.

I purchased Honey and Precious and Honey leaves a tint behind on my lips that looks NOTHING like the original color! So odd!

    Thank you!

hi sung I’ve already reviewed/swatched the Just Bitten Stain balms you can take a peek at that and compare between these two posts….really clinique’s version and revlon’s are nothing alike considering clinique is sheerer and revlon is more pigmented plus I don’t have every single shade of the revlon ones to compare the two products…! Hope it helps comparing my old revlon review to these…!

I own Fuller Fig, Mega Melon and my favourite, Whoppin’ Watermelon. I’ve also convince my sister, aunt and cousin to try them, so between the four of us, we have almost all the colours in the original line. I’m excited to try the new colours.

I have Mega Melon too! but it isn’t moisturizing enough for my really dry lip/ chap lips >.< i have to layer another lipbalm first before using this 🙁

I think this is so brilliant and thoughtful to your readers to do a recap of the originals just before you feature the new colors.

One more reason to consider you fab.!

Are Fuller Fig and Richer Raisin almost identical in color? Do both have frost and are pigmented? Thanks.
