KATE Cream Cheek Review & Swatches
Japanese brand KATE, released a few shades of their Cream Cheek Blush for Spring 2012. Not being a terribly big fan of cream blushes I decided to indulge anyway as these were really cheap, really cute, and I wanted something I could easily take with me on travels.
Let’s take a peek at KATE Cream Cheek and see what the fuss is about.
These come in small glass jars with a screw top lids. The packaging is much like KATE’s gel liners so if you’re familiar with those that is indeed exactly what you are getting with these but a tiny bit bigger.
They come in four shades and around 990 yen per pot ($10-$12 USD or so).
They are actually a really cute cream blush and I like the formula a lot. These are a matte, dense cream that you can slip a finger into and apply directly from the pot. Mmm, not so sure I love dipping my finger into the pots but that is the best way to apply.
Colors aren’t terribly pigmented but they blend easily and no matter how much you put on they are never, ever over done. The color is the real joy here as each shade I tried gave my cheeks a healthy, doll-like finish that was very, very pretty.
Typically I’m a little scared of orange shades from Japanese brands as they tend to go very dull on my skin but PK-3 is a lovely shade of glowing orange. I also indulged in PK-4 which is a lovely apricot pink.

Overall, these are a really cute little pick if you like cream blushes. Wear time will vary but I find they fade fairly quickly so a touch up is required. But I adore how they give my skin a soft, healthy glow without looking too bold and/or vibrant. These are well worth a pick up for Summer looks.
I’ve seen them online for around $12-$14 per pot which isn’t too badly priced (although Japanese retail is far nicer a price).
These deserve a Muse Approval.
Do pick them up!
Very cute.
I recommend AlphabeautyUK on E-bay for a purchase.
