MAC Hey, Sailor! Feeling Fresh Eyeshadow Review and Swatches

Hey, Sailors!

Ready for MAC Summer 2012? It’s coming atcha soon. I wasn’t too excited about it myself, I feel like the nautical theme is a little repetitive but I’m sure many folks are hyped over the collection.

I have a few products available that I’ll be swatching for you today.

Let’s start with MAC Feeling Fresh Eyeshadow.

Take a peek!

Feeling Fresh Eyeshadow is a frost finish but applies pretty nicely. I’m typically frightened of such a finish but I had no issues with this one. The formula is on par with MAC’s older shadow releases (I’ve been known to complain that MAC eyeshadow formula is a bit weak lately) and has a smooth, easy to apply formula that runs a little drier but applies easily with primer.

The bright grass green shade is quite lovely and will pair up nicely with blues, aquas, and/or golds.

For the packaging MAC went with a nautical striped themed. I’m a little impartial to it but it is cute and fitting for this collection.

Overall, Feeling Fresh is a lovely bright green. I have a ton of greens in my collection already but most are darker and more forest-y. This is a very nice grassy green for Summer.

Will you be hauling it?

MAC Hey, Sailor! hits counters on May 24th and is available online now at www.maccosmetics.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just ended up getting Jaunty eyeshadow and Crew highlighter (but blush for me). Everything else was alright but not very exciting/unique/useful for me, and I am all about useful for cosmetics (or I would have gotten Feeling Fresh) 😛

I love green shades! Or the color green in general and after years of sticking with mostly nudes (brown/taupe) colors, I’m finally venturing out into the world of color!

I recently purchased a green shade from UD that I love (in Kush) and I’ve been eyeing this color as well (no pun intended!! xD). I do need some darker/forest-y greens though.

Green is my favourite colour and I’ve had this in my basket for a few days on the MAC website, I think I’ll be picking it up alongside the Launch Away! blush I saw in your other post 😀 Yay!

Just picked it up. It’s a beautiful bright St. Patricks-y Kelly green. Lovely!
