Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Cinnamon Stick Review and Swatches

I wish I could get on board with Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick. It’s such a vast selection of lipstick shades at such an affordable price tag but the formula is rubbish.

I find it sits unnaturally on top of lips and just feels all kinds of wrong. A little more moisture might make it perfect….

Sigh! Until it improves my purchases from the line are far and between but I couldn’t resist some of the new Nude and Natural Shades recently released. Cinnamon Stick is a new fav of mine.

Maybelline has extended the Color Sensational Lipstick Collection with a new selection of nude/natural shades. The shades will be added to the general catalog and are available in about 10-12 colors.

I actually thought I’d come away with several more shades from this collection but only one that really appealed to me was Cinnamon Stick.

This is a gorgeous shade for both Summer and Fall looks.

It’s a burnt cinnamon shade with touches of both brown and orange. It’s a little fiery with a touches of metallic gold.

I absolutely adore it. It’s one of those shades that pairs up fabulously with smoky brown shadows.

Like I said, Color Sensational Lipstick has a ways to go in the formula department but damn straight they get the color and pigment down on these.

I’d recommend checking this shade out, it’s stunning!

I agree with what the MUSE said—-Cinnamon Stick is a fabulous shade of a burnt orange-y reddish-brownish tone-and I especially love that it has gold fleks in it–which gives it just the right shimmer! Perfect for summer or fall–I actually wore it all summer and I loved it! Looks great on tanned skin. Luv Luv

Love that color. It was one of the shades I considered last time I picked up some Maybelline, and now I think I will definitely get it. But I agree with you about the formula. It might be the worst of the big drugstore brands, and I am a drugstore makeup shopper about 90% of the time.

ugh god why can’t they get it right? they do such a fabulous job with the colors but the formula is all kinds of WTFZ?! a little clear gloss helps..!

i like it, but it looks more of a fall color, rather than spring/summer.

I am in love with the color sensational lipsticks! I do agree that the formula needs more moisture, but to me it just feels like a matte lipstick. I am totally lemming that color now
