Milani Color Perfect Lipstick New Shades Review and Swatches
Milani introduced a few new shades of their Color Perfect Lipstick for Spring 2012. Having never tried this lipstick out before, now was a good a time as any to dive in.
Wahooo! New shades.
Get excited.
I love Milani, cheap, affordable, good times. At around $5.79 per lippie they are a nice budget pick but is the quality here?
Milani Color Perfect Lipstick is already available in a very extensive shade selection of over 30 shades but it’s always cool to have new colors introduced to an already older line as it refreshes things and give fans of the product a chance to haul newer colors.
Having never tried this lipstick out before I was quite excited to give it a whirl.
It comes in the traditional gold packaging Milani favors. It’s pretty basic packaging that kinda resembles Avon’s 14K Lipstick tubes. It’s a lighter tube made of plastic but doesn’t have a cheap or cheesy feel to it. The lipstick itself has a lovely diamond style design that’s pretty but a little impractical since the slimmer “point” of the lipstick doesn’t technically fit the contour of my lips so well.
Some of the newer shades are really stunning…you have a selection of bolder versus nude, natural colors. So everyone is happy here, whether you’re a bold girl or a natural one.
Formula has an easy glide across lips but these aren’t particularly moisturizing and I felt they were a little drying overall. Color payoff is excellent which is one thing worth raving about.

Mmmm, I’m not terribly impressed with Milani Color Perfect Lipstick. I found the pigmentation something to hail but the overall formula failed to impressed me and just felt dry on my lips. If you can forgo the fact they aren’t terribly moisturizing you might enjoy the color rich formula and with a little clear gloss the moisture issue might be easy to overlook. However, at near $6 per a tube, I’m sure you can find something a little better at the drugstore with a nicer texture, just sayin’.
