My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask Review

Dull?

God, I hope not.

I’d rather have oily skin!

But here’s My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask to the rescue.

The My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask is one of my favorite formulations from the brand. This mask is for whitening and revitalizing dull, tired skin.

Super fine pearl powder and amino acid supposedly absorb into the skin to create whiter, brighter, more translucent skin with this mask…!

Mmmm yeah…I’m not so sure about that but Vitamin B and seaweed complex nourishes skin and aids in hydrating it which in turn eases dullness.

You will see brighter skin with a single application which is one reason I love this mask so much. I typically leave it on an hour and just sit through a TV show or get some blog work done and proceed to remove. As someone who experienced and struggles with dull skin daily I think this does a nice job of brightening skin and easing that dullness.

On the down side, the effects are fleeting so I typically apply prior to bed as I feel like you see the results well into the AM after a night of use.

I do wish this had a little more moisturizing qualities but it does so well at easing dullness I can’t complain.

If you skin is stressed, looking dull, and/or tired I’d suggest trying out the Pearl Powder Mask, it’s one of my personal favs from the My Beauty Diary Collection!

My Beauty Diary is reasonably priced at Sasa.com

My mom bought a bag of pearl powder from Korea when she was there and we used it to do pearl powder & yogurt sheet masks last month! Smelled AWFUL but my skin looked and felt amazing after! We got these awesome face mask sheets that don’t have essence at a local Chinese dollar store. They come with these great pads that you can use for under your eyes also! Best $5 we ever spent! You get something like 30 sheets!

Thanks for the review! I haven’t tried this mask though.
Just wondering, if you apply them in the evening before you go to bed and wake up to do your usual cleansing face/skincare routine in the morning, will the usage of paper masks (in general) be a waste?

    • the Muse

hi irene, yup, take a shower, use my clarisonic to wash my face, normal skincare routine. Depends on what you consider wasteful…they are one use only and you are tossing them in the trash after that but they are paper, paper takes up about 25% of landfills, not sure how Eco-friendly you are and what you consider wasteful so I guess you’d have to take this all into account before indulging.

would you prefer this mask or the arbutin one for pick me up?

Hey Muse, I have a burning question here.

Since you are a fan of these mask and review them often, do you notice any actual long term effects to these mask (let’s say if you use it 1x a week)? Does any formula help with acne scarring? Thank you~

    • the Muse

hi lily, effects are def not long lasting in my experience. there isn’t a formula for acne scarring unfortunately. just an acne formula for oily skin/break outs.
