NYX Bronzer & Blusher Combo Review & Swatches

It’s been a while since I ran across a product where I’m spreading the good word about “YOU needing this”. NYX Bronzer & Blusher Combo happens to fall into the you NEED this category.

Yes, buy it, now, get all the shades, don’t delay.

Jump ahead for a look.

First off, I’d like to say, NYX should probably just do the blusher part and forget the bronzer…these shades of blush are gorgeous! I’d LOVE to see them offered on their own.

On that note, I’ll tell you they are indeed split down the middle. One side features a sparkling blush and the other a complimentary bronzer.

I’m not a bronzer girl, I fail to get excited about it but the combination of both the blush and bronzer here creates some stunning results.

These are the types of face powders that make your skin glow all gorgeous-like without looking crazy sparkly or too muddy due to the bronze portion of the powder.

The finishes vary for every single shade I tried. Some are super sparkly, some frosty, some have a little iridescence…no matter the finish though, every single duo applies beautifully. Colors are pigmented with a silky formula that blends easily and flawlessly.

Phi Phi Island and Sunrise in Bali are two of favorite shades as both have Orgasm-like golden peachy pink shades that are stunning but beware with Phi Phi Island it is SUPER glittery joy but I found with a little TLC it blends out to a very minimal sparkly finish and nothing overly disco-ball like in nature.

Ibiza

Sunrise in Bali

Bora Bora

Phi Phi Island

I admit, I sorta kinda started making more use out of the blush side rather than the bronzer. However, swirling the two shades together actually creates this wonderful glowing finish of a bronzer with the perfect compliments of blusher.

Overall, facts is facts, they do contain a good deal of shimmer in most cases and some even a huge bit of chunky glitter. But with a light hand and a little patience you can get a gorgeous glow for Summer with these.

You NEED them.

Seriously, at the very least, do yourself a favor and pick up Sunset in Bali (I’m wearing it below) and proceed to fall in love with it and want every other shade NYX puts out.

Gorgeous.

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

Bora Bora is screaming my name and Sunrise in Bali looks nice too. THey all look good but I’m thinking these two will work the best for me.
I wonder if any of these shades are in the Dark Shadows Palette? May have to check on that one.

Ibiza and Sunrise in Bali look gorgeous!
Can you tell us how much product is in it, and how much it costs?
    Thanks!

Oops, forgot to add, when I use this type of bronzer/blush (split pan), I use a round, flat head brush, stroke with the split at the center of the brush, then apply with the blush half on the upper cheek, so the bronze goes in the hollow. Then I lightly blend up to the temple, and part way onto my forehead, and it looks really pretty and natural, with a bit of contouring.

Unfortunately the bronze part of Bali looks too dark for me – wish that blush was separate ~ it’s stunning!

These remind me of the Lorac bronze/blush duo’s like Hot Flash (pink) – the bronze part was too dark for me, even using a skunk brush, and Hot & Spicy (peach). They come with a brush and are $30.

awww.. you look beautiful ^ ^

i need some advice, do you think ibiza and sunrise in bali will work for a person who has yellow/olive undertone. my skin isn’t fair like yours 🙁 though my sister is, so i’m kinda looking for something more peach not pink, i already have blush pink rose from maybelline and i dont really like it, it’s not really natural, and from the photos bora-bora looks pretty nice (even though it’s shimmery). i want something more subtle. or i’m wrong here? thanks 😀
