Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer Review & Swatches

Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer might be a mouthful to say or perhaps a little ridiculous to say out loud yes? But there’s no joke about this SPF enriched concealer that not only protects eyes but treats them with a formula packed with good for you ingredients.

Let’s take a look!

Older, drier, problems with your concealer creeping into fines? Yeah, we all get there sometime, some sooner than others, but at some point you’ll throw down your favorite concealer in anger and realize it simply doesn’t work as well as it used to. Why?! You’re getting older. Your eyes might not be as moist as they once were, your skin is drier, you need something lighter yet hydrating, something that brightens without making your aging eyes look sunken in or hooded!

Introducing Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer, a universal shade of concealer that brightens, hydrates, protects, and treats eyes for a fresher more flawless under eye area.

Now the best part about No Concealer Concealer is the fact that it is packed with SPF 35 Broad Spectrum protection. Go on, think, name me an eye cream or concealer with that much SPF……I’ll hum the Jeopardy theme while you try.

Hard one right?

I really don’t have a ton of concealers with SPF, it’s a rarity. I do have an occasional eye cream with some sun protection but really most don’t offer the protection.

Needless to say, you’d probably have to apply a good deal of concealer to get the best benefits here but I still like the general idea of having a concealer with SPF no matter how little I am applying, ya know?

I think the formula is pretty outstanding as well as it doesn’t suffer from being too greasy or oily or heavy due to the added SPF. SPF is tricky and it can get pretty uncomfortable, pretty quickly when it’s combined with moisturizers, tinted moisturizers, and other products….Perricone MD successfully created a very comfortable, lightweight, non-greasy texture here that applies and blends easily without ever feeling like their is SPF in the formula.

The formula not only contains SPF but a few other goodies that will make the aging eye area do the happy, happy, joy, joy dance:

  • Vitamin C Ester: brightening and collagen boosting
  • Hyaluronic Acid: boosts skins natural moisture plus minimize wrinkles
  • Phospholipids: provides essential moisture
  • Neuropeptides: aids with wrinkles, firmness and smoothness
  • Microcirculatory Agents: treats dark circles
  • Mineral-based SPF: UVA/UVB protection

This comes in a very tiny glass pump jar. The pump distributes just the right amount of product without over doing things, pumps are dangerous sometimes but this works perfectly! At first, I was a little disturbed at the tiny jar as this is $45 dollars…ouch! But further examining the packaging reveals it contains 0.3 oz of product. Just an example but Benefit Boi-ing ($19) which appears huge actually contains 0.1 oz in product so this is actually three times the size of that.

The price might be a little iffy for you if you’re not looking at the quality ingredients but looking towards something more pigmented. The color pay off is quite sheer here so it doesn’t pay for itself in that area.

Speaking of sheer…

Although sheer it does manage to brighten eyes up beautifully while diffusing darkness due to the peachy beige shade of the product. At first application, using a patting motion with my ringer finger, I didn’t like the finish of the concealer. So I do recommend pumping a tiny bit on the back of your hand and dipping a brush in for application. With a brush I got a far smoother, flawless finish.

Sadly, the “universal” shade won’t work for everyone but most skin types will find it works well. Really dark skin probably won’t be able to take advantage however medium, tanned, and of course, fairer should find it works fine.

For me, I enjoyed the fresher, brighter look it lent to my eyes. I have finer lines, dryness, and a certain tiredness about my eyes with some darkness (not terrible dark circles but some) and this perks them up so I looked like I was running on 12 hours of rest.

Overall, the formula is jammed pack full of greatness particularly the SPF. Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer is a very surprising product for me. I expected to dislike it but I ended up loving it. I think aging eyes will particularly love the easy to use formula!

All in all a fabulous little concealer that basically looks and feels like you’re not wearing anything at all. It’s a no concealer look!

Loves it!

I’ve been wanting to try the no foundation foundation, but idk if it’ll work with me being so fair lol

    • the Muse

I’m curious about that now myself cj! I liked the concealer now I’m wanting to try the foundation!

Don’t bother. No Foundation Foundation makes me look like an Oompa Loompa. I’m an NC 20, Revlon Buff. Not the fairest, but still pretty light.

comrade but you liked no concealer concealer right? I remember when I originally posted you raved it which was one of the reasons I couldn’t wait to try, normally your raves are spot on!

I’ve tried it and it’s nothing more than a tinted primer. It’s great if your skin doesn’t need any coverage, but I feel like it’s way overpriced for what you’re getting. By all means, try it out for yourself because my experience could be very different than yours.

Looks too dark for me, which is a shame as I’d be interested in it.

I’ve been searching for a new concealer and i love Perricone so…this sounds like a good match!

Thanks for the review, Muse 😀 Shall have to check it out the next time I go to Sephora.

I really did not like the foundation because it was like the coverage of a tinted moisturizer without the, uh, moisture. Kinda lame! Thanks for including the ingredients on this though, Muse! Sometimes the concealer is a hit even if the foundation is poopoo.

  • Kim

I heard that the foundation is really stinky (fishy). Does this smell bad?

I absolutely LOVE it. I actually love applying it with my fingers, it covers beautifully when applied like that. It’s just fantastic! I expected to not enjoy it too, but the first morning I applied it, i was so surprised at how well the colour suited me. It looked a little light, but it was perfect. So happy I got this concealer (it’s def. HG material and is currently replacing my CDP concealer)

I felt the same karen, I was scared it would be too light or too sheer but it is LOVELY ;-D

(Btw Muse, do you notice that there is a very strong smell of medicine with the concealer?)

    • the Muse

nope karen, a little fishy tbh but it goes away once applied 🙂

Interesting! Can we get a look at pictures? 🙂 I’m really intrigued. This sounds like something I could use!!

    thanks!
