Skin Food Fresh Juice Toner Review

Skin Food Fresh Juice Toner is one of my favorite toners of all time. It smells great, hydrates nicely, and eases dullness just enough to make this Muse happy.

Take a peek!

Skin Food Fresh Juice Toner comes in a rather elegant glass bottle however, I’m ALWAYS so scared of Skin Food products for this reason. I’m clumsy so I’d like smash this on my bathroom tile floor…! Eeep! Plastic would be better but it would take away from the elegance of the product…

I dunno how Skin Food affords such luxurious packaging at such cheap prices!

This toner is thicker and doesn’t have a typically runny, watery texture so it reminds me of a lightweight essence rather than a traditional toner

It contains some sort of fruit complex extract rich in vitamin C and a vegetable complex extracts rich in vitamin E. Vitamin C can’t technically be absorbed into the skin so as far as whitening goes, you probably won’t notice any major different in the tone of your skin.

It does hydrate skin nicely, preps for moisturizer, and has a cool, refreshing feel with a lovely scent. At my first sniff of the Fresh Juice Collection a year or two ago I was kinda disappointed but I’ve really grown to like the smell. It’s rather hard to describe but it has some freshness to it, a bit of fruit, and is very, very pleasant.

As far as toners go this is a very nice one. It moisturizes my skin, preps it nicely for moisturizer, and does ease dullness every so slightly. But….it does prove costly to have it shipped from Korea so if you’re lucky to live around a Skin Food store (some stores are located in CA and the rest in Asia ONLY) it might be worthy of a pick up. But when you’re dealing with costly airmail, jacked up prices, etc…it might be something you wish to skip since the formula isn’t that amazing that you absolutely need it.

I suggest shopping for Skin Food at Sasa.com considering they occasionally have very good free shipping deals available.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This sounds lovely, although I do love my Body Shop Cucumber Water. Fortunately some eBay sellers still carry it!

oh dear I thought this was a juice for detoxifying or something

Vit. C can’t be absorbed by the skin?!! Does it serve any skincare purpose then? Yikes, I must research this.

I use Rosehip Tonique from Eminence that contains Rosehip juice, spring water, and salicylic acid. That’s it. it’s supposed to balance oily skin. My skin is still oily, so…but I do like it.

from my understanding it has to be a very stable form of vit c since it oxidizes fairly quickly…so air coming into the product, packaging, etc..all play important roles in the vitamin actually getting into your skin. it must be a high concentrate of the vitamin as well. but I’m no expert hehe ;-D

I’m currently using the HadoLabo hyaluronic acid lotion but I’m definitely in the market for a new toner that preps the skin! I have a Super by Dr. Perricone one I’m nearly running out of so I need to purchase a new one and I’ve been going through all the toner review tags you’ve got and my list went from 0 to 12, lol.

I’ve got my eye on Naris Up Japan Skin Conditioner Lotion Toner! I saw them at Mitsuwa a while back and figure that the next time I go, I’m definitely picking them up 😀

Thanks for all the reviews, Muse!
