Soap & Glory Cheekmate Cheek & Lip Stain Review & Swatches

Soap & Glory Cheekmate is a cheek and lipstain the brand introduced a few months ago. Soap & Glory roamed deeper into the cosmetic world with this release as they never really did color cosmetics.

I’m a little sad we haven’t yet seen the cosmetic line here in the US but I look forward to the release.

Let’s take a look!

Cheek stain lovers will want a look at this one.

New York weather has finally improved and it feels like Summer is officially here. This is a great time to get out your cheeks stains in my humblest opinion since they’ll prove the longest wearing makeup you can wear for a day at the pool or beach on a super hot day.

Soap & Glory Cheekmate is a multi-use product to stain lips or cheeks. This comes in a squeeze tube with a needle nose applicator. The thinner nozzle of the tube allows for just the right distribution of the product as it is highly concentrate so this applicator style allows you a dot or two to be released from the tube which is plenty to do your entire face.

This is a bright red stain that will work on most skin tones but fairer, porcelain, or rose with pink undertones or redness on their face and cheek area might wish to avoid. Medium fair and up will find it creates a lovely, healthy flush on cheeks. It’s about the same tone as Benetint however a little brighter and bolder. On my cheeks I think it looks naturally pink and pretty.

The formula is a gel-like consistency which blends a heck of a lot easier than Benetint. It’s very lightweight and moisturizing on skin. Please, try to be careful during application and not too heavy handed since the formula is SUPER pigmented.

I find it wears nicer on my cheeks than my lips as it goes on a little too deep on lips giving me a clown-y look. A little less (as shown in my photo below) with a little gloss gives a just bitten look and allows the stain to look a lot less garish.

My best friend Libby lives in London and I had her pick it up for me at Boots. It cost me a very inexpensive 8. I felt the value was here as the quality of the product is excellent overall.

All in all Soap & Glory has produced a winning line of cosmetics so far. I’m liking what I tried and Cheekmate gets a nice rave from me. Needless to say the wear time is incredible and lasts all day and into the night for a good, solid 12 hours of wear time or longer if you desire. I love and enjoy cheek stains and this is up there with some of my favorites.

Likey!

I’d suggest E-bay for a purchase as I see tons of various Soap & Glory goodies up on auction just beware when shopping Evil-bay.

Anyone try this?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

Heehee ^-^ I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS LAUNCH!!!!!! But am I weird that even though I have a porcelain complexion that I love reds so much? I guess maybe since I am Asian, my skin isn’t as transparent so I don’t have to worry about redness and such.

Lovely idea but comes off looking a bit like rosacea. I guess it’s the color since it’s in between pink and red

I have this! The way Im able to use it is as fair as I am, is I practically use half a dot on each cheek, it gives a totally natural flush! I love it. I actually love everything from soap and glory lol they’re seriously one of my favorite brands, if they ever came out with pocketbacs I would never have to stop at bath & body works lol!

I love cheek stains but never could get into Benetint, for some reason. I like Ulta’s Extreme Wear Lip Stains – more for my cheeks than lips. They use fruit extracts for the tints and they smell yummy!

I wish Target still sold these. The only cheek tints from Target are the Pixi ones which are $20 a pop -_-
