Talika Eye Therapy Patch Review
Talika Eye Therapy Patch are an interesting little product that promise visibly smoother eyes in 30 minutes. They treat darkness, puffiness, dryness, and fine lines during application..
But do they REALLY work?
That’s a big job to tackle in 30 minutes.
Let’s find out!
At first glance, $65 for eye patches seems a bit expensive. But you do get six pairs which can be used up to three times each….! I was relieved that after use I didn’t have to toss them out. Doing a little math it works out to $3.60 per treatment with the patches. Not too shabby. Talika even includes a handy dandy silver compact to store your patches in after use so they remain fresh (sorry I forgot to photograph it but you can see it by clicking here).
I expected the patches to be wet with some sort of essence as a traditional Asian Eye Patch would be. They are not, they are a heavy gel padded cotton fiber that doesn’t have a wet, hydrating, or moisturizing feel. The gel doesn’t feel cooling, or wet, etc….It’s actually quite a heavy cotton fiber and this is in fact what I believe aids in smoothing the eye area.
To use you’ll simply be placing these under your eyes and wearing them for a 30 minute period. They fit under the contour of my eye easily and have a comfortable fit. The first thing I noticed was the bit of weight they add under the area…I believe the weight pulls the skin taunt under your eyes which is what causes the smoothing effect you’ll see after use.
Ingredients include Ceramide III, musk, rose, safflower, and avocado essential oils. Outside of the Ceramide III, I find the ingredients unimpressive but the lack of fillers and parabens very pleasing.
After 30 minutes of wear, results are fleeting but visible…!
Finer lines appear smoother, puffiness is reduces a little bit, and my eyes look generally brighter.
They work, they work!
Problem?
The results only last several hours perhaps a day if you’re lucky before fine lines, puffiness, etc…all re-appear.
Overall, Talika Eye Therapy Patches are an excellent way to get your eyes looking younger and brighter for special events or occasions. Say you have a wedding and you only slept four hours…! These will get your eyes in tip top shape. However, those seeking a long term fix to finer lines, etc…will probably want to invest in an eye cream that will treat such issues rather than temporarily fix them. At $65, you’d be saving plenty for a good eye cream should you NOT indulge in these.
Without a doubt I saw visible results using them however less I win the lotto tomorrow I probably can’t purchase these for daily use. They are a nice item to have tucked into your arsenal for special occasions though as it seems it’s Sod’s Law that everything goes wrong with my under eyes when I have a special event, a date, or some party to go too! These are a quick beauty fix for smoother, brighter, less puffy eyes.
