Vapour Organic Beauty Illusionist Concealer Review & Swatches

I love the original Star Trek a little too much but I have to admit most of my younger teen years were spent with every single episode of Generations. I’ve seen all the eppys at least twice and really shouldn’t admit that to the whole world….

Of course, I did and I do have the biggest crush on Wil Wheaton. The boy can do no wrong, he’s my geek god.

Everyone, including Wil himself, gave the Wesley Crusher character a ton of $h1t but I was a geeky teenager that happened to be a girl so Wesley Crusher was kinda my fantasy man growing up. Wil particularly took part in hating on the role but it was a time in his life that was understandable. And plus, it really had to be hard dealing with a fandom that simply detested his role in the series.

So I must admit, that this made me tear up a little.

Awwwww Wil Wheaton all grown up now and finally ready to embrace Wesley Crusher….I shed a tear maybe two….

Enjoy Generations fans!

For the non Trekkie fans….

I bring you Vapour Organic Beauty Illusionist Concealer!

Vapour Organic Beauty Illusionist Concealer is over 70% organic with assorted minerals and vitamins. So if you’re looking for a more greener concealer for your face and dark circles this be it ladies.

I sadly feel like it falls into the bad “green friendly” makeup realm. I love that brands are trying so hard to lighten the load with parabens and more organic less preservative laden makeup but sometimes that formula does take a toll on the actual quality of the product.

Vapour Organic Beauty Illusionist Concealer comes in a slim swivel up tube which is a little faulty so beware when swiveling up as the concealer needs a little push to swivel down. This formula promises to cover dark circles, blemishes, etc…with a formula that won’t crease into fine lines nor clog pores.

Sadly, it’s very dry to me. My eyes are aging and are most definitely in need of a creamy, hydrating formula plus even if your eyes aren’t as dry you’ll want an emollient concealer so it blends easily and you aren’t left tugging it around your delicate eye area. This texture seems devoid of moisture so tugging is involved to get into place plus the finish is rather dry as well. Unfortunately it ages my eyes and creases into my finer lines within moments of application.

(Shade 030)

I appreciate that they leave out a ton of chemicals in the formula but can’t really justify the lost of moisture here. It’s probably one of the main issues for me.

You might find it a little more forgivable if you have oilier eyes but drier, older eyes will want to steer clear.

This one I wasn’t feeling the love for sadly.

That was really sweet to watch and reminds me of some poor decisions I’ve made in my life.

I tried it. Diddnt really do anything but stick and tug in my eye area. I think all the waxes they have in it diddnt do well for me. Real dissapointment in the line. Your review is spot on Muse.
