Wet n Wild ColorIcon Shimmer Single Eyeshadow Review and Swatches
Possibly the cheapest thrill I’ve come across lately are most definitely the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Shimmer Singles. I’ve seen these at drugstores for $1.49 to $1.99 each.
Pray tell, where can you get a nicely formulated eyeshadow for under two bucks?
Wet n Wild ColorIcon Single Eyeshadows are brilliant as is but bring a little shimmer into the mix and I get excited. The only thing lacking about the Shimmer Single Eyeshadows is the fact they only come in a few shades, I need a little more variety.
Outside of that, I highly suggest snagging a few or hell, all of them at this price.
Would you believe me if I told you these little palettes housed more product than a $15 MAC eyeshadow? Yup! True story, each of these is 0.06 oz in size.
Don’t let the small compacts full you as these are tiny little guys but inside you’ll be getting a good deal of eyeshadow for your $2 bucks.
I love the small size of the shadows as they store SUPER easily however I find the lids are a little difficult to open with my shorter nails. However, I kinda wish all brands made eyeshadow this small, they are about the size of a memory card, a little bigger…!

The Coloricon formula is one of my favorites from Wet n Wild as it’s smooth, silky, and has a velvety finish that isn’t frosty in the least. The buttery formula applies easily and blends out to a super refined finish worthy of any higher end formula if not better. However, shades tend not to work well together (I used two shades in my look below but found it challenging to do so) as they become muddied and hard to get any contrast from. The formula is looser as well which causes fall out as well as creasing if you don’t prep well prior to application.
Pigmentation, a huge surprise as each color as quite a good deal of color pay off at this price. I was pleasantly surprised the shimmer is very refined even though in pan it looks chunky and gritty. The shimmer finish is very subtle and has a nice twinkle without looking overly sparkly or crazy.
Sellout and Golddigger on eyes
Overall, Wet n Wild ColorIcon Shimmer Single are an incredible value for your dollar. The only thing I’d change would be the introduction of more shades as I find most of the colors aren’t entirely friendly at the moment. A few more bronze colors, naturals, and nudes might garner more interest from a more mature audience.
Likey!

Why not?
Note: When the singles were originally introduced they included an eyeliner however, I did not review it because that is not how they are currently sold. The duo set with liner and shadow was a one off, limited release. As of now, singles are sold by themselves without an eyeliner.
