Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer Review & Swatches
Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer might be the one.
I’ve found numerous HG (holy grail) concealers that I love and use daily but I always secretly hope I don’t find “the one” so I can keep buying new concealers to try. I’m slightly addicted to them.
But…
I think I can finally hang my hat up because Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer might just the one concealer to rule them all. This is seriously good stuff and let me tell you a SPF 30 in the mix makes it not too shabby at all.
I commonly associate Dermablend with birthmarks, scars, tattoos, etc…. I’ve always felt like its the type of makeup that someone who needs major coverage would migrate to. Indeed, that’s exactly what it is marketed to as well. It’s a super pigmented makeup for people that want to hide perhaps birthmarks on their face or body or perhaps hardcore tattoos, etc…
I don’t feel like I fall into their demographic as I don’t have any ink and I don’t have any major issues that need covering.
I decided to indulge in Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer because it was sitting innocently on a shelf at my local Harmons Drugstore. It gave off a little beacon of light and I shrugged to myself and decided, “What the hell?” If it was overkill in the pigment department I could just return it right?
One of the most impressive things about the concealer is the fact that it contains SPF 30. I wish more of my eye products contained sun protection!
Well, count me impressed.
This is very lightweight for something with this much pigment and has an easy to blend formula with proper prepping and priming. I thought it would be crazy dry but not the case at all. Granted, it isn’t the creamiest most hydrating concealer in my arsenal but it isn’t dry or drying either. The texture has a decent creamy feel that smooths on nicely and blends out easily enough. The best part is obviously the crazy amount of coverage it offers. Dark circles and tired eyes be gone. This creates a smoother, brighter, more awake eye with a quick swipe and blend. Dare I say it’s comparable to Cle de Peau Concealer? And this is a mere $23!
On top of a lightweight, flawless finish it also has a fairly long wear that will last through your day without creasing or fading. I applied it with my trusty E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush and it wore for 14 hours straight on Saturday without a hiccup! I was inside, outside, running here, running there and my concealer looked as fresh as the original application!
Overall, those suffering from super dark circles (or other issues on their face), fine lines, puffiness, or just general tired eyes that need something super strong to conceal these issues I’d highly recommend checking this concealer out. If you have deeper set lines, less than smooth skin under your eyes, etc..it probably won’t be the friendliest formula for your problems. However, those with fine lines and a smoother under eye area shouldn’t have issues. I do recommend prepping well prior to application for the smoothest and easiest blend with this.
This was a winner for me.
Liked it a lot and so much cheaper than Cle de Peau Concealer.
I got mine at Harmons but you can purchase at Ulta as well I believe or online at www.dermablend.com
Love it?
