E.L.F. Mineral Face Cleanser Review
Who knew I’d love E.L.F. washing powder!? E.L.F. Mineral Face Cleanser is a brand new recently released facial washing powder from the brand that costs eight dollars.
Facial Washing Powder is fairly common in Asia however, the US Market fails to embrace the idea so I find it interesting a budget brand like E.L.F. has launched a successful formula in this realm (yeah, that’s me giving it the a ok to buy, it’s quite good mind you!). Those familiar with Japanese and Korea brands have probably used dozens of various washing powders like this, Fancl is a very popular brand that produces one.
Let’s have a look!
This is a paraben-free formula made of up 100% natural minerals according to E.L.F. It contains Green Tea, Aloe, Jojoba, and Vitamin E with active minerals for cleansing and nourishing skin.
It comes in a 1.76 oz plastic bottle with a small shaker lid that allows you to shake the powder easily out into the palm of your hand. If you’ve never used a powder wash before it’s fairly simple. Just shake a bit out, add a little water, massage in hands, and presto it lathers up into a foam. Easy!
It has an emollient feel as you use it in the fact that it glides on skin as you wash. If you’re used to Asian collagen washes you’ll understand the texture I’m trying to explain here when I use words like “emollient” I’m sure. I find it interesting they captured almost all aspects of a traditional Asian facial washing powder here. It cleans skin quite well and leaves behind a fresh, smooth feel without drying, stripping, or tightening skin after use.
Overall, count me surprised and delighted. Right down to the packaging this is pretty much what you’d get at any Asian Beauty Drugstore should you visit Korea or Japan. Although not as common here I’m quite delighted that E.L.F. has embraced this formula and created something well worth picking up. At $8 even the price is about the same as Asia!
I liked this one.
It’s ideal for basic cleansing needs and doesn’t strip skin of moisture.
Likey!
