L’Occitane en Provence Angelica Instant Hydration Mask Review

Need a little moisture in your life? LOccitane en Provence Angelica Instant Hydration Mask is on the case.

The biggest factor in aging is dry skin so you wanna keep your skin as moist as possible particularly those with drier skin. Inject as much moisture into dry skin as you possibly can to avoid skin looking dull, lackluster, and old. Toners, serums, mists, moisturizers…layer it all on. Find the best products that work well together and use them daily to nourish skin and keep it at its healthiest.

Unlike the toner I recently reviewed for you, I’m finding the new LOccitane en Provence Angelica Instant Hydration Mask quite a nice little addition to my skincare regime to add a nice heaping dose of moisture to my skin.

LOccitane has introduced a new moisturizing selection of skincare products entitled Angelica for Summer. Angelica is a soothing, hydrating essential oil that offers moisture and toning properties.

LOccitane Angelica Instant Hydration Mask is hydrating gel facial mask that contains angelica essential oil. This is a water based mask that provides instant hydrating benefits to skin.

The gel formula is a thicker consistency with a hydrating, non-sticky texture. It can be applied in a thick layer onto your face and worn for 3 to 5 minutes prior to being removed with a damp washcloth. I actually leave it on for a little longer and tissue it off after around 10 minutes or so.

Those sensitive to scent beware it does have a strong herbal fragrance that some may find unpleasant. I didn’t like it at first as it smells like just turned dirt with a mix of plants but it slowly grew on me.

The mask is actually very soothing and offers a very nice hydrating effect overall. If you have some extra time prior to heading out in the evening or prior to work it makes an excellent facial mask for easing dryness and setting a smoother path for makeup to adhere too.

The benefits aren’t entirely long term in my experience but you’ll find skin will appear and feel smoother and softer after a single use and the results will last a day or so before you’ll need to re-apply the mask for another injection of hydration.

Overall, LOccitane en Provence Angelica Instant Hydration Mask does indeed offer instant moisturizing benefits. It’s a perfect treat for those with drier, duller skin in need of even more moisture. I highly suggest sticking it in the fridge and applying it when needed as this offers a cool, refreshing mask for tired, dull skin.

Likey!

Definitely interested in this! I love hydration masks (use the My Beauty Diary masks once a week!) and would love to try out this instead or with them. Double the hydration! I’ve got oilier skin but I’m severely dehydrated. I blame myself for not using any facial cleanser/moisturizer until the end of 2011 and 2012! Horrible habit 🙁

Now I’m playing catch up and this looks awesome. Thanks for the review 🙂

I should get some steam cream! I never realized they sold them in the US until I walked passed a display in Duane Reade and saw them there. Admittedly, I nearly bought them but the tins weren’t too pretty so the vain beauty collector in me passed xD

That’s at least 20 years of my life I haven’t washed, exfoliated or moisturized my skin! No matter the season, I’ve been layering products on to keep my skin happy 🙁 playing catch up isn’t any fun!
