Mirenesse Lip Bomb Review & Swatches

Do you like your lippies BOLD? Doesn’t get any bolder than the new Mirenesse Lip Bomb!

Holy crazy pigment Batman! These innovative glosses act as a gloss, stain, and lip lacquer all in one drenching lips in incredible color. Did I mention incredible? Like INCREDIBLE color.

Whoa!

At a glance $29 for a single lipgloss makes me wince but honestly Mirenesse Lip Bomb are so worth the price of this adventure kids.

Acting as a gloss, stain, and lip lacquer all in one these have a highly pigmented finish that creates lasting color on lips well after they wear away which by the way isn’t that quickly because they have a super long wear time.

As light as a feather with a moist almost velvety finish these have a lacquer-like shine and formula. One of the first things you’ll notice about them is the crazy color pay off each gloss has. They are well and truly packed with color for a full color experience. The formula is very comfortable to wear as well with a lighter finish that’s barely there. An interesting sponge applicator with a twist allows you to apply and outline lips easily with color.

They have the finish of a lacquer with a high shine but not the texture of a gloss in my opinion as the formula resembles more of a liquid lip cream of sorts with a velvet-like feel on lips. Thankfully that velvet finish translates well and has a comfortable, weightless feel as sometimes velvet-y finishes tend to dry my lips out but these have a moisturizing feel that doesn’t suck the moisture right out of my lips.

Wear time is strong at around 5 hours in without eating or drinking however, they do feather on less than smooth lips in my experience. Basically, they like to migrate around so do prep well prior to application particularly aging or drier lips.

Swatched: 14, 2, 7

Shade 14

Shade 7

Shade 2

These have a minty flavor and scent that I find pleasant.

After they wear away they do leave a staining effect behind but I don’t really love the look. It’s less natural and more I slept in my makeup type of thing so I do suggest a touch up should you see color beginning to fade.

Overall, these were a solid win for me. I was sent a few shades to try out for this review but I already have my cart filled with three other shades I really want (I’ll swatch those when my order arrives).

Lips: Shade 7 (I realized this isn’t a great shade for me but wanted to just do a lip swatch anyway for the review)

Lips: Shade 2

Needles to say I’m slapping a Muse Approval on these.

Loves.

Well worth hauling particularly for the girl’s who love vibrant, bold shades of lip color.

Tried ’em?

Love?

I’ve tried Mirenesse Lip Bomb and I’m actually using it until now because I like the texture..

Whoa, that is some color! I love shade 2 on you.

Is there a reason you didn’t do an on-lip photo of shade 14?

  • Katie

The pink one looks lovely on you! It makes your face look brighter I think 🙂

I am really disappointed with this product. Luckily I got it through a promotional sampling and didn’t actually pay $30+ for it. I got color #4 and I love the color, it’s moisturizing, it’s highly pigmented – but – there is one huge problem!!

It feathers on me in just two hours. I have tried with primer, without primer, with balm, and without, and whatever I do, it just feathers out around my lips so I look like a crusty smoker with “lip lines.” I’m 22 with supple skin- this should not happen to me!

I wouldn’t buy this product, unfortunately. It’s nice, but it does not wear well.

I love, love these. I received a full size in my October ipsy bag (formally MyGlam) and I felt in love. I am more of a lipstick lover, but these glosses are out of this world.Very good products!!
