Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer SPF 30 Review & Swatches

I gotta say SPF is such a rarity in eye products. That’s why when Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer was introduced I was ecstatic over the SPF 30 in the mix.

Plus did I mentioned the incredible packaging?

You’re going to love it.

Missha Extreme Cover Concealer is just that, a full coverage concealer with a super creamy, rich formula that’s highly pigmented. Oh and hai SPF 30 and cool packaging such a pleasure to see you around!

At $11.99 available in two shade selections this is a great little concealer that I highly recommend for those who like thicker, pigmented concealers. Housed in a gold glass jar with a matching brush for application this is a gorgeous little affair that proves pretty as well as practical.

I thought the glass topper with the swirl design terribly pretty and vanity worthy. Being the packaging h0r that I am this appealed in a major way however, pretty doesn’t always mean outstanding in the formula department. But no worries, Missha doesn’t disappoint with heavy lifting performance here that will conceal major and minor issues.

This is a super thick formula that’s creamy and quite heavy. The formula offers a full coverage experience so dark circles will be easily banished with a little of this patted under eyes. I find the formula quite hydrating so drier eyes will adore it however, it may prove a little too much for those with oily eyes and/or lids. I liken the formula to a grease paint of sorts, that might sound terribly unappealing but I assure you it really does have a super hydrating feel.

I purchased light and the shade has plenty of yellow to it to banish dark circles easily and diffuse the look of them as it concealers and creates a smooth, flawless appearance under eyes. This woke my eyes up nicely and brightened the area up while covering my puffiness, finer lines, and dark circles.

Surprisingly even the brush they included was very helpful as typically I toss brushes that come with concealers as they are often crummy. But this is a nice flat brush that did well applying and “painting” concealer under eyes.

The best part?

An SPF 30 in the mix! So not only does it cover the signs of aging but also acts to prevent it by shielding eyes from harmful sun rays.

Overall, I really enjoyed Extreme Cover Concealer and thought it was a wonderful pick for brightening eyes up and concealing woe. It had excellent staying power and didn’t crease or fade and wore strong throughout the day. It contains glycerin so it remained moist throughout the day and hydrated the delicate skin my eyes without sucking moisture out. Sadly, it does only come in two shades so really fair or really dark skin might be out of the running here.

If you can get a fitting shade, I think you should try this out.

Muse Approved for purchase.

Excellent packaging, awesome formula, and full coverage for twelve bucks? Like that.

  • Cassie

Oh man, I’ve got to add this to my list. My under eye circles are one of my biggest skin concerns and not many concealers are opaque enough to do the job. Not to mention I have NEVER seen one in packaging as cute and lovely as this!!!

Basically, I need this in my life. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Concealer + Good Coverage + SPF30 + Brush for 12 bucks… that’s great *-* The only sad thing about it is the shades options x_x

  • Libby

Very, very, VERY intrigued!! I’m on the market still for a new concealer as I’ve tanned a bit in the summer and I still haven’t found one I completely like yet. I’m oily-skinned though so I’m not sure how well this will sit with me but…it’s got an approval from you so that puts it near the top of my to try list!

    Plus, super affordable!

    Thanks for the review 🙂

Oh girl I have been waiting for a potential dupe to Maybelline’s Matte Mousse. This looks like a totally different texture, but I get the feeling I may be able to use it in the same way, plus I’m loving Missha’s BB cream already…so this is now a must-purchase for me!

  • elizabeth

I think that’s the prettiest concealer jar I’ve ever seen!

  • LINDARRAGNAR

This concealer looks really nice, it really looks like my shade.
Sorta reminds me of my Thierry Mugler foundation, packaging wise – although that is not the least bit heavy, and it came with a little spatula

  • Jane

Does this settle into fine lines? I’m worried because you mentioned it was thick…

  • Lisa

very intrigued! bought the skin food salmon dark circle powder based on your rec (still waiting for it, but sooo excited!) what is your skin tone/undertone? i can’t decide between the 2 colors!

  • jane

Wow! I’m so excited to buy Concealer SPF 3. I know this product is really good because of the packaging itself..

  • Miss D

Wow, this sounds great- I’ll have to check this out. I do love Missha BB Cream’s and the Signature BB Cream is just outstanding! Thanks!

  • Lucy

This sounds great and the price is awesome! I really want this but I must ask, do you know if Missha tests on animals?

  • Melissa

Muse muse muse – you are very good at spending my money today. I was JUST thinking i need some Missha cleanser and here you are FORCING me to add this concealer to my cart. Thanks a lot!

  • Jessica Allison

aww, I’m bummed about the shade selection- I use Missha BB so I know I’d need a #13. I’m hoping since these use the same numbering system as the BBs that they’ll eventually make the concealer in a fairer shade, because it sounds (and looks) lovely!

I’m also 13 but the lighter number concealer can be sheered out and matches fine.

Hi Muse! Great review, I’m so excited to buy and try this out. I’ve been battling undereye woes for a while now and although I have kind of settled for the L’Oreal Touche Magique, I find myself craving to try this one. I was wondering how this concealer fairs up in comparison to the Bobbi Brown one?

    • the Muse

totoro a different formula than bobbi’s tbh but they are both very good quality!!!!!!!! plus this is cheaper!

  • Donna

Just went to their site, and it’s $17 now!! Ouch! Still not a bad price, but I want it for $12! 🙂

  • liz

this product is lovely. one question: once applied, does it dry to a matte finish? thank you for your help.

  • Lesley Rain

Ms Muse, I adore your reviews. Last year I purchased the Etude House BB Magic Cream by your recommendation and fell in love. However, I had a nasty break out earlier this year, terrible really and although it is coming on the mend, the red marks are persistent and are taking a long time to fade.

Because of this, the Etude House BB Magic Cream is not providing the necessary coverage that I need to have in order to not feel like a social pariah.

So what I would really like to know is if you would recommend the Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer as a means for giving me that extra coverage on my red marks and acne. Or if you would suggest trying a different BB cream or even a foundation instead.

I know it is a lot to ask but I really am fumbling around in the dark here and would love if you could shed some light on the matter, if you have the time.

    Wishing you a lovely day,

    Lesley Rain Walker ♥

  • Sarah

Which Missha concealer would you recommend for extreme dark circles (they’re purple and they look like a mix of bruising and shadows)?
Signature Extreme Cover Concealer or The Style Perfect Concealer?
Also, if I use Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Honey Beige, what shade of concealer do you recommend?
And do you recommend concealer over or under the foundation/bb cream? I heard both ways are possible but i wonder which way is better.
    Thanks!

  • Akari

Would this concealer work for blemishes too? I’m talking pimples here lol.
