Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser Review
Looks like Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser came out early this Spring but I’m just hearing about it now.
Anyone try it?
Supposedly it transforms dull, tired skin to visibly brighten and refreshes it in as little as four uses.
Hmmm considering I have dull skin I decided to try it.
I typically like using cheapie cleansers like this with my Clarisonic in the AM as I rely on more expensive lotions, potions, and cleansers for my PM skincare routine.
I’m always terribly drawn in by anything that promises to brighten. Supposedly this contains a formula infused with Soy and Vitamin C to brighten skin with constant use. Vitamin C is a tricky ingredient to keep stable so proceeding to place it in a cleanser and dub it as brightening well, that evokes my skepticism.
On the upside, it actually does give skin a brighter appearance after use however, there are no long term benefits to that brightening but hey, it’s a great fresher up cleanser in the AM and it perks my dull skin up a fair bit so who am I to complain?
This has a bright, sunny citrus scent and has an iridescent pale gold shade coloring. It’s water based so it doesn’t leave skin feeling tight or dry after use and rinses clean away. It creates a decent amount of lather and leaves skin feeling squeaky clean and yes, visibly brighter after use (just not long term).
Overall, for under five bucks (got mine at the Evil Empire aka Walmart) it’s a cheap thrill to use with your Clarisonic or as an AM cleanser in the shower (that’s how I use it). It kinda reminds me of the Clean & Clear brightening cleanser I love so much. If you’re looking for a basic cleanser that eases dullness and removes basic makeup, oil, and impurities this is a nice budget pick.
