Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Concealer Review & Swatches
Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Concealer eh? What does that even mean? DNA Advantage? Shrug…ok, if you says so.
Revlon Age Defying Concealer is a newly launched, anti-aging concealer that was released this Summer. I’m a concealer junkie so of course, I snatched this up when I saw it on shelves.
Let’s peek!
Supposedly Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Concealer is an anti-aging concealer however they don’t say what the benefits are and a quick peek at the ingredients doesn’t yield anything too impressive either.
But hey anti-aging benefits aside it’s not a bad concealer. I have a bad track record with concealers purchased at the drugstore in most cases but I will say this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.
I didn’t love the color. I went with the Light Medium shade and it’s a bit too yellow for me. This is a great shade for diffusing the look of dark circles but I was more interested in concealing finer lines, puffiness, and given my eyes a brighter look and it didn’t quite do all that.
This is a wand style application with a sponge tip applicator so you can swipe it on and blend out easily. The formula is a thinner creamy with a very hydrating feel. I was terribly impressed they got the moisture down correctly here as in most of my drugstore concealer purchases I always end up with a terribly dry formula. This is water based with water being one of the main ingredients so you can blame the water content on the cool, moisturizing feel and texture of the concealer.
I had absolutely no problems getting it into place and blending it out. The formula is very easy to work with and provides sheer to medium coverage.
As I mentioned above the color wasn’t entirely impressive to me. It did conceal most of my issues (under my eyes) however, I wish it would have brightened a little better as I was still left with exhausted looking eyes after application. However, those with darker circles are guaranteed to appreciate the stronger yellow base for addressing this issue.
Overall, Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Concealer might be worth exploring. I’m not entirely sure of the anti-aging benefits here but the formula proves excellent for aging eyes due to the moisturizing feel and finish. Props to Revlon for creating such a nice formula as gosh, almost EVERY single drugstore concealer I buy is always so terribly dry and drying. This has an easy to blend formula with a moisturizing feel that’s well worth a try out. I wasn’t impressed with the shade so I’m curious if I should go a bit lighter. It concealed many of my problems but like I said, I still felt my eyes looked a bit on the tired side. I rely on my concealer to wake up my eye area. I had no issues with fading or creasing either, this wore strongly all day.
