Shop Makeup, Cosmetics, Skincare, and Beauty at Bed, Bath, and Beyond!

(Pictured above Bed, Bath, and Beyond the Beauty Mecca of cosmetics and makeup galore!)

You might hear me shout the good word of Harmons far and wide for my drugstore beauty purchases. Harmons is actually an extension of Bed, Bath and Beyond and basically acts as any good Walgreens and CVS carrying all your everyday need products like deo, toothpaste, shampoo, etc…They also have a stupid killer selection of the latest and greatest drugstore beauty brand selections at great prices (like sometimes cheaper than the Evil Empire aka Walmart).

But…

Some folks don’t have Harmons around.

That’s why I highly suggest you check out a Bed, Bath, and Beyond or two. My Bed, Bath and Beyond has a HUGE selection of beauty bits and bobs.

Take a look!

That “Beyond” part? It refers to the fact I can buy any number of great beauty products at my Bed, Bath and Beyond. I took these photos at my local BBB and as you can see there are literally aisles upon aisles of not only makeup but also skincare, haircare, and basic everyday need products like deodorant.

The great thing about shopping either Harmons or Bed, Bath and Beyond is the fact they are always sending out 20% off coupons or $5 off $15 etc…I suggest signing up for their newsletter as occasionally they e-mail these coupons.

One thing I noticed about Bed, Bath and Beyond, even though they are essentially the same entity as Harmons, is the price on makeup is a little more than what you’d find at Harmons. Odd but true.

Either way….I do suggest checking out your local Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised what a vast selection of beauty goodness there is available.

Is your BBB stocked with beauty?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. • Missy

No, I live out in the boonies of small town America LOL LOL I have to drive two hours to find a Sephora store! xD That’s why my birthday always entails an overnight trip and time spent unmolested in a Sephora store 😀 I’m planning my wishlist already….. mwahahahaa

        So how’ve you been?

        • the Muse

damn girl that stinks 🙁 come to ny? ;-D I’m great but tired…! i feel like I tell everyone that lol! pissing and moaning about needing more sleep ;-D and you? All good? Summer start for you yet? Freaking cold in NY :-/

          • Missy

Sleep is good ~ never seems to be enough of it, eh? I’m that way too LOL! I’m doing fine, summer has officially started in my neck of the woods. It’s sunny and 75 here today, the best weather. How cold there?

          • the Muse

hells yes please sir can I have some more? ;-D I’m on holiday soon, I’ll rest hopefully then!? ;-D You’re lucky…been cold here, drops down to 43-50 in the evening, very unusual…today isn’t too bad, about 70. Lots of rain though! Typically we start with the 80-90’s first week of June…! almost every weekend for the past several weeks has been rain rain and rain :-/

    Hi Muse,

Where I live there are no standalone Harmons, but there is a Bed, Bath and Beyond that has a Harmons section. I love this place! I find their prices are normally a little lower than my local drugstores, and their selection is awesome! New products normally show up there first.

I would love to see more Harmons around 🙂

    • the Muse

hey suzanne! thank god you at least have a well stocked BBB! ;-D I always find BBB a touch higher than Harmons which is odd as they are virtually the same store but still great prices all around ;-D!

  • Cj

It’s so great your posting about this cause before that post about the revlon foundation, I never knew BBB had a beauty section, and a huge one at that! Mine has isles on isles just like yours, I think it’s gonna take over CVS as my fav drugstore place

    • the Muse

YES! so glad you discovered the joys of BBB ;-D I agree, it has a far bigger selection and is a favorite of mine compared to stores like cvs ;-D

      • Cj

If only my BBB was closer :/ CVS on the other hand practically has 4 stores right next to my mailbox lol

  • Kitten

I wonder if it’s in a particular part of the country where they do this, at ours (we have a few in the area) in my part of Ohio they don’t….it’s just Bed and Bath apparently! :”'( So sad!

  • isabella

    Muse
I am a Harmon lover and shopper from way back although the brand selection has been thinned out a bit since BBB took over, the prices cant be beat

    • the Muse

hey isabella! same here! 🙂 sorry to hear it, mine hasn’t thinned at all! they have tons of stuff!

  • breyerchic04

The two bbbs in my town both had a tiny rack of revlon lip butters and that’s it, total. No other makeup.

  • Marlie

I could only wish we had a CVS or alike here, nevermind this magical world of Harmons or BBB you speak of. I live in Canada with no such stores around. Our closest version would be Shoppers Drug Mart, a way overpriced drugstore. I typically purchase my drugstore beauty products at Wal Mart (or Target, etc when I make frequent shopping trips to Buffalo, NY). Prices at Canadian Wal Marts are typically a few dollars more than that of American prices – with sometimes less options. Shoppers Drug Mart tends to me anywhere from $5-$10 more than Canadian Wal Marts. I once saw a L’oreal mascara for just under $15 at Shoppers. Pardon my rant, sometimes you just have to get that out!

    • the Muse

her marlie I AM always shocked when I go to Shopper Drug Mart and see the prices. OUCH! even chocolate is crazy high in Canadian! :-/

      • Marlie

Don’t get me wrong, I love living here but I’m also really lucky to live right near a boarder crossing! Sometimes I just wish more variety were accessible. Target is opening in Canada within the next few years so I hope they carry the same things (like Sonia kashuk)

        • the Muse

yay for target in canada marlie! hope it’s well stocked ;D

  • Telly9009

I’ve been to my Bed Bath and Beyond and I know it doesn’t have a beauty section. If you go to the BBB store locator it will indicate if you have Health and Beauty Center (HBC) at your BBB. I’m sad because of all your great postings. I get so excited and my BBB is just the first two B’s lol. Maybe one day I’ll get one in Vegas. =)

  • Littlecreek

Your BBB’s carry beauty products???? Random. I’ve never seen that here in Missouri. Just bed bath kitchen and some decor.

    • the Muse

sure does! and a cool international food section with all sorts of asian and british chocolates and snack and other goodies from all around the world :D!

      • Littlecreek

Holy cow that’s a lot in a BBB. We don’t have Harmon’s either, but as others have said we are infested with Walgreens and CVS. One is always within a one block radius of the other. And World Market keeps me supplied in foreign treats. I noticed last time I was there that they have Jammie Dodgers so I’m gonna get some for the Doctor Who premier this season. I’m also pretty stoked because I just found a huge Asain market here in KC that carries all sorts of food and beauty products from different parts of Asia so be prepared for random giggly tweets tomorrow.

        • the Muse

we do NOT have jammie dodgers, my last who party I had to have them airmailed to me! next time I’m asking you, CHEAPER! lol. but we have TONS of other goodies ;-D isn’t that a great section? I got their for the World Market along never mind the makeup ;-D w00t! have fun!

          • Littlecreek

When it’s time just let me know. I be more than happy to shoot some out east for ya. 😀

          • the Muse

thank ya much appreciated. it cost me a ton for airmail from london to ny :-/ for jelly babies and jammie dodgers! I thought it would be cheaper as jelly babies are overpriced in some of the shops in manhattan but ended up costing way $$$$

          • the Muse

hehe brooke for shame you’re a new whovian aren’t you? ;-D they are kinda like swedish fish, they are a jelly-like candy. my doctor (tom baker) was very fond of them ;-D

          • Littlecreek

🙂 yep. Only had three channels growing up (PBS if I was lucky) so my TV knowledge was limited. I picked up Dr. Who with the reboot. I consider the 10th Doctor my doctor and have started watching the older shows on Netflix.

          • the Muse

GIRL why you no watch who on pbs? that’s how I discovered DW ;-D They used to play reruns of Tom baker eppys, I was like 8? when i watched them…!

  • StellaDiva

You can use 20% off BBB coupons on the entire store – even when items are excluded on the coupon. Expired coupons are also honored.

  • Aquilah

My BB&B doesn’t have a Harmon’s, but Christmas Tree Shops does. I’ve never seen Dermablend in mine though! I’ll have to take a trip or call to see if they do now!

  • Melissa

Yes when I could not find the Revlon Lip Butters when they first came out, I was pleasantly delighted to find them in plenty when I went with my family to buy new bedsheets at BBB!

  • Sorchathorn

    What the….

We have lots of BB&B stores in my state, none of which have makeup; they do carry beauty tools, such as curling irons, etc.

It’s funny to see how different stores can be through the states.

  • JenJ

No mine isn’t *stomps foots* There are two close to me and I’ve checked both! Another conspiracy!

  • jenn s.

No beauty products at my BB&B. 🙁 Closest we get is hair dryers, flat irons, aloe socks and gloves, heel balm, magnifying mirrors, turby towels…no color cosmetics or skincare items. Poo…and our store is pretty large, too. Oh well. I guess I can dream of a makeover, huh? On the other hand, our city has a CVS and a Walgreens on EVERY corner! If one opens, the other follows right behind. No Harmon’s here either. Is Harmon’s just an “up North” thing?

  • isabella

Muse they used to carry stuff like White Cross cuticle remover, lots more nail files, less well known brands, things like that but that was probably 10+ years ago well before BBB bought them.

@ Jen Harmon is a NJ/NY company may BBB is rolling out the in store HBA across the country?

  • Anna from CA

Thanks Muse. Beautiful pictures! That’s what the Harmons section in the Dublin, CA BBB looks like. Its like finding beauty Nirvana. But Harmons also have freestanding locations, yes? I’m taking a vacation to New York and was hoping you could recommend a few unique beauty places that a strictly CA girl who hasn’t traveled much in the last 10 years shouldn’t miss. You’d be my favorite- who am I kidding, you are my favorite ;)Thanks.

    • the Muse

hey anna! thanks for the comment. And awwww thank YOU! ;-D Yes, Harmons def have free standing locations as well ;-D There aren’t a ton of unique beauty places but we have all major places like dozens of sephoras, macys, saks, hb, etc…;-D and of course, a trip to queens is great for picking up Asian beauty bits and bobs ;D

  • bea

I love going to BB&B for beauty products! Just picked up two Essie Polishes and L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Pearl (which was not available anywhere else!)

  • Gina

We have one BB&B out here with a HBC section. I found it when hunting for Revlon lip butters. I actually ended up talking to someone who I used to work with, she’s a trainer for their Beauty dept. and she said that they were launching a trial in the one store in Arizona to see how it did. Unfortunately it’s like an hour+ freeway drive that I don’t often have time to make!! Wish they would hurry up and roll it out to the other BB&B stores…boo.

  • marie

i might be wrong about this… but i THINK harmons is only in the east coast, so maybe the BBB’s that have beauty sections are only on the east coast as well? again im just speculating, but its a shame that a chain store isnt the same in every city or state. Luckily the one in my area does.. but its one thats further away! but ill make the trip if i have the coupon. Just got my 20% off at BBB this week =)

  • Michelle

Sadly there is not a BBB in a 50 mile radius of me that has a HBC. What a pity! I’d love to check it out.
