Stila Fall 2012 Collection featuring the Stila In the Know Eye Shadow Palette

So you love mattes and you find that Stila sadly lacks in the matte palette department. No worries for Fall 2012 Stila introduced the In the Know Eye Shadow Palette which features ten shades of purely mattes shades of eyeshadow.

Happy?

I knew you would be.

Take a look at the palette and other goodies launching with the Stila Fall 2012 Collection.

Stila In the Know Eye Shadow Palette $39
An all-matte eye shadow palette containing 10 earth-inspired shades, plus a bestselling Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in an exclusive shade, Halfmoon (matte charcoal gray) and a how to get the look guide.

Stila Fall 2012 Lip Glaze Trio $12
Shades:

  • Foliage (Delicate, Loganberry, Fawn)
  • Harvest (Vanilla, Orchard, Spice)

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer $44
This pairing features an oil-free, high-definition, high-performance foundation that stays all day and delivers a flawless finish. Unique oxygen technology leaves skin hydrated, nourished and helps prevent premature aging. The formulas synergistic combination of botanical extracts have been shown to help enhance circulation and blood flow, resulting in an increase of oxygen delivered to the skin. This foundation glides onto skin, immediately going to work to help minimize skin blemishes and imperfections. It is also enriched with an array of skin-loving ingredients, and unlike other long-wearing formulas, innovative extracts help to slow down the onset of premature aging. This multitasker also contains a creamy, full-coverage concealer inside the foundations cap and a mini mirror for touch-ups. The easy-to-blend concealer instantly hides blemishes, dark circles, and age spots creating an impeccable canvas for flawless makeup application.

I quite literally have a drawer filled with Lip Glazes but I still feeling the bite of the lemming bug for both Harvest and Foilage. Ugh!

I like the foundation as well but I’m always a little hesitant about concealer/foundation duos. On one hand I like having both products in one spot but on the other I tend to go lighter with my concealer and sometimes these duos have an exact same shade of concealer as the foundation. I’ll check it out regardless, curious how they’ll do with this.

Stila Fall 2012 is available now at Sephora.com

Ack, I had no idea the foundation was going to be $44.

  • Littlecreek

I have to swatch this when I see it in store. I love me some matte eyeshadows so itll be worth a look for me. I too am staring longingly at the lippies but I just can’t…..but they’re only $12. we’ll see how my willpower holds out on that one.

  • Nita

Loved the shades in the eyeshadow pallate….i hope all the eyeshadows are pigmented…

  • Missy

That palette looks nice, but the colors are *very* similar to the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral palette… And I know what you mean about the lip glazes. I have a bunch rolling around in a drawer too and they hardly ever get any love ~ but that doesn’t stop me from drooling over those new colors! 😀 (it’s the names, the names! I love Fall!!

  • Ashley

REALLY excited about the pallet as I don’t get excited easily. When do these hit shelves?

    • the Muse

online now, prob later next month in stores, it really varies in store, ya never know when a store will pop it out 🙂

  • Janet Shepherd

Evil, evil Muse! I don’t own any Stila or Bobbi Brown products, and now I’m jonesing for these trio lip glazes & the Bobbi Brown palette. And the Bobbi Brown glosses. Damn!

  • LINDARRAGNAR

Ohhhh that matte eye pallets looks really promising! Really liking that grey colour!

  • Suhana

THE MATTE PALETTE OMG!♥ looks beautiful!

and as corny as this sounds my jaw dropped when I read the description for the the foundation that has the concealer on the top. this could either be GENIUS or not work but its just so cool!

  • Phyrra

Is it bad that my first thought was how are they going to make kitten matte? Hairless cat?

    • breyerchic04

Sphynx 😉 And in reality that’d be a color I’d wear a ton. None of the colors in this quite look like it, but I think they’re still incredibly wearable, and I hope everything but the black is really pigmented. I’d like a sort of sheerer matte black to blend with my neon shimmery shadows.

Glad there aren’t blues and greens, those make me often skip palettes.

  • Jane

I love mattes, but that palette is a big collection of unwearable (for me, obviously) colors. Boo!

  • Lulubelle

The shadow colors are perfect for me – I’ll be mulling on this one.

  • Barb

you said “I tend to go lighter with my foundation”… is that true? or do you go lighter with your conceler?

the mattes look amazing… sooooooo difficult to find a popular matte palette other than too faced

  • kimkats

I think I wee’d myself a bit…. that palette, if there’s *any* pigment to the colors, is mine all mine! I will investigate the foundation – Stila used to make the absolute best foundations in the universe, I actually have a couple of them left, but they’re so old they’re starting to smell a *bit* off but I can’t bring myself to pitch them b/c they’re so perfect… I’ll have to scope out the foundation and see what i think…. I’ll fork over $44 if it’s good! 🙂

Thanks for the heads up Muse – My VISA company thanks you too! 😀

  • Caitlin

Holy nuts matte palette! Ever seen a librarian do a happy dance? Cuz that is what I am doing right now! I would definitely pay $44 for foundation with concealer–it’s really two products, so it’s actually kind of a deal, IMO. IF (big if) they are both wearable. We’ll see. Lancome just discontinued my foundation this Spring, so I’m searching for a new one right now. What are your favorites, Muse?

    • the Muse

you’re a librarian? that’s my dream job. I wanna sit around smelling old books all damn day! ;-D I’m a BB Cream girl all the way ;D

  • Caitlin

I’m a medical informatics librarian! I have zero old books around (though I do love them). It’s all computer files and data mining. I’m the only non-programmer on my team. I’m also the only make-up lover. Not a coincidence. 😉

    • the Muse

      you suck. forget it.

LOL kidding! I thought you meant a librarian in the traditional sense, damn!

  • K.B.

lol Muse, I feel the same way with the Stila lip glazes! I’m so picking both sets up.

  • cat

Now that I have a reasonably substantial makeup collection, I’m less excited by palettes with colors like these. But it seems nice.

  • Actionmags

I love that you get the details on my beloved Stila …. Love the eye shadow palette my OCD says I must get it to complete collection

    • the Muse

hello misses ;-D how are you!? long time no tweet, happy weekend! I hear ya, it’s a gorg little palette!

  • Jeanne

YAY matte palette! I have a couple of mattes from Stila and I literally use them every time I do my makeup to help blend out other colours or for a crease shade.

  • Majick

ACK! I recently sold my soul to Stila and may be in trouble here. LOL

I have “in the moment” and “in the garden” palettes and LOVE them. I passed on “in the light” because I have a ton of neutrals and it reminded me of the LORAC unzipped and UD Nakeds 1&2. The fact that these are all mattes with an exclusive shade of liner pencil I may have to have it.

I do have Too Faced Matte Palette so I may have to compare colors. I’ll probably cave. LOL

  • amy

I’m thinking the palette will make a *perfect* companion for In The Light, and the price for the lipgloss trio really can’t be beat.

  • Jen_m_sunshine

Muse, did you ever look at the in the know palette? It is a REALLY great neutral palette and I use almost every day in conjuntion with my UD or thebalm palettes. Just thought I would see if you ever did check out…am sure you did!!!

    • the Muse

hey jen…I did see it in store but I’m not much of a matte person so I didn’t pick it up! I do already own the other palette, in the Light, which is really nice plus lots more sparkle/shimmer ;-D
